Pukyong National University announced on March 17 that it was finally selected as the organizer to support the initial startup package support business in 2020 by the Ministry of SMEs and Starups (MSS).

With the selection of this project, Pukyong National University will receive about 2.5 billion won each year from this year to 2022, and up to 7.5 billion won for 3 years, and will start to discover start-ups, fund commercialization, and operate specialized programs to lead growth.

The initial startup package support project is a project that supports the growth and stabilization of start-uppers within 3 years of startup by utilizing the excellent entrepreneurship support infrastructure of the host organization. 40 institutions nationwide, including Pukyong National University, were selected this year.

Starting from being selected as the lead organization for the growth of the entrepreneurial leading university in 2015, Pukyong National University was selected for this project in recognition of being known as a regional representative entrepreneurship support organization by performing outstanding business and performing outstanding business each year.

For the past five years, Pukyong National University has provided commercialization funds of 490 billion won to 114 start-ups, achieving sales of 55 billion won, employment creation of 330 people, and investment performance of 2.4 billion won.

There are also 16,000 participants in 116 start-uppers support programs, such as entrepreneurship clubs and competitions held by Pukyong National University for young start-uppers such as university students.
