The Grand Opening of the Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo 2020 ... Promoting PKNU's fisheries science attracted public attention Since many leaders in the fishery field at home and abroad participate in the Expo, it is to promote advanced fisheries science of Pukyong National University's College of Fisheries Science to target them. Hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City and organized by BEXCO, the Korea Fishery Trade Association (KFTA), and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (Suhyup), the event will be held at BEXCO, Haeundae, with 278 companies from 10 countries participating. During the Expo, Pukyong National University's College of Fisheries Science plans to focus on promoting the history and departments of Fisheries Science College, which is the mecca of Korean fisheries science, through a promotional booth provided in the exhibition hall. President Jang Young-soo of Pukyong National University attended the opening ceremony this morning, stopped by the Promotional booth of the College of Fisheries Science and encouraged officials. Mr. Jang said, "Our College of Fisheries Science has been developing and growing since its opening as a 4-year university in 1941. Please promote to people the merits of our Fisheries Science College, which is devoted to studying, experimenting, and researching to develop the fisheries and marine industries of the 21st century based on history and tradition." The Fisheries Processing Research Center of Pukyong National University also set up a booth to promote the 'Fisheries Expert Course 2020'. This course is aimed at fostering professional fisheries and is a curriculum for managers and workers in the fishery processing industry.
