At the recently held 'Hackathon, Busan Youth Job 2021', a student team (Advisory Prof. Oh Young-Sam) of Kang Bo-Eun, Kim Na-Yeon, Choi Min-Seok, and Park Min-Jeong from the Department of Public Administration at Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) received an Excellence Award of 2 million won in prize money for the idea, the 'Busan Tourism Festival with City Tour Bus Service - 9 Stories and 9 Memories'.
Held by the Busan city government, the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), the Busan Economic Promotion Agency (BEPA), and the job centers of five universities, this contest was designed to encourage youth to take the initiative in discovering new job ideas and connecting them to actual job creation.
Pukyong National University students got credit for the excellent idea of creating jobs for young people and boosting businesses, as well as an idea for Busan to build an image as a tourist city, by using the city tour bus currently in operation in Busan.
They applied program elements to the Busan City Tour Bus, selected three main points for each route, and suggested programs in which tourists can participate directly, such as plays and field trip.
The idea received good reviews by presenting a concept where tourists using the Busan City Tour Bus service can enjoy festivals in a theme park called Busan. <Pukyong Today>
