PKNU students received the most ‘Busan regional human resource scholarship’

- a total of 212 students, incl. 36 from PKNU, 29 each from PNU, DAU, DEU, and 20 from KMOU

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) has produced the largest number of scholarship students who received the ‘Busan regional human resource scholarship’ among universities in Busan.

A total of 212 scholarship students from 17 universities, including 36 from Pukyong National University, 29 each from Pusan National University, Dong-A university, and Dong-Eui university, and 20 from Korea maritime and ocean university, have been selected for the ‘Busan regional human resource scholarship’, which is awarded scholarship certificates for the first time this year.

The ‘Busan regional human resource scholarship’ was established in March through a business agreement between Busan metropolitan city and Korea city guarantee corporation, Korea securities depository and Korea housing finance corporation, which were public institutions prior to innovation city, for mutual growth with the local community.

Starting with the first selection of scholarship students this year, Busan city plans to select more than 400 scholarship students every year by using donations worth 9.78 billion won for 20 years.

Pukyong National University students and other scholarship students selected this time will receive a living scholarship of 1.5 million won per semester for up to 4 semesters (2 semesters for colleges). After 2024, if a student who has received this scholarship at least once gets a job at any company in the Busan area within two years after graduation, the student can receive a job incentive of up to 5 million won.

The selected students are 3rd year students (2nd year students for colleges) studying in information communication or business department and selected after passing a strict screening process not only submit their academic records, but also their certificates in the fields of information communication and business, language (English) grades, and community contribution plans.
