Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held the summer inquiry & research classes of the College of natural sciences at Pukyong National University for 2023 at natural science building #1 and 2 on July 20 and 21 for middle school students in Busan who are on summer vacation.

This program provided under the supervision of college of natural sciences (dean Yoon Min) at Pukyong National University, was conducted as an experiment and practice program in the natural science, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology, with about 100 middle school students in Busan participating.

Pukyong National University is opening an inquiry class every year as an educational donation program to help local middle school students develop interest in the field of natural science. Professional instructors of the university provide opportunities to experience natural science using facilities and equipment such as laboratories and lecture rooms.

The students who participated in the class experienced making polyhedral models using mathematics tools under the theme of 'the ring of beautiful shapes' in the math inquiry class, and experimented with making electric circuits under the theme of 'the world of electromagnetism and dynamics' in the Physics inquiry class.

In the chemistry and the biology inquiry class, the students carried out inquiry activities through experiments and observations under the themes of 'making polymer hydro-beads' and ‘microorganism cultivation and biomonitoring', respectively. <Pukyong Today>
