PKNU broadcasts 'live-on campus video' for the first time in Korea

- real-time video of the campus view on YouTube... the system has been established for alumni, international students, and others

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that it will provide the 'campus real-time video' service for the first time among domestic universities.

The university installed a real-time video in the Daeyeon campus main stadium and the water leisure center with Gwangan bridge in the background and began broadcasting the campus panoramic video in real time 24 hours a day through the Pukyong National University YouTube channel.

Among overseas universities, the University of Oregon, Auburn University, University of Nevada, and University of Notre Dame provide real-time campus video services through YouTube, but among domestic universities, Pukyong University is the first to provide real-time services.

Pukyong National University has recently established a distant view video transmission system ahead of the 100th university anniversary next year, taking inspiration from YouTube's real-time video service that focuses on tourist attractions such as Haeundae and Gwangalli.

It started with the purpose of enabling alumni who have gone overseas a long time ago and are unable to visit the campus to access the changed campus anytime, anywhere, and to provide accurate location information about the campus to foreign students wishing to study at Pukyong National University.

Pukyong National University expects that this video will be able to provide not only a panoramic view of the campus but also scenery combined with famous attractions, such as the night view of Gwangan bridge, because the entire site is flatland, which is rare for a university campus in Korea, and is adjacent to Gwangalli.

Since videos are broadcast in real time 24 hours a day in all four seasons, it is expected that it will provide citizens with an opportunity to enjoy videos of the Pukyong National University campus, which is famous for its cherry blossoms in the springtime. <Pukyong Today>
