Our division has established various educational programs by making it our goal to raise Japanese-related professionals. We nurture researchers to maintain and develop inter-understanding and cooperative relationship with our culture by deepening research on Japan through scientific and structural studies on Japanese and Japanese literature.

Department of Japanese Language and Literature

We aim to nurture students to understand Japanese professionally from a literal point of view. We also aim to nurture intellectuals througn professional studies in Japanese and Japanese literature by introducing various works of Japanese literature.

Department of Japanese Studies

We aim to nurture intellectuals who can establish a Korea-Japan relationship that is appropriate for global informational era of the 21st century by understanding Japanese politics, economics, society, history and culture, both overall and structurally.

Types of Certified Licenses

JLPT, JPT, national qualification test of tourism related work, tourist translators, translators, teachers of grade 2 (completing educational course) etc.

Possible Careers After Graduation

Many of students work for trade companies in Korea and Japan, and in tourism companies, or as translators and secondary teachers where Japanese-related professionals are required. Students may also enter graduate school to become researchers. Furthermore, there are many opportunities to have a short-term Japanese training program during vacations and currently international exchanges with many Japanese universities are actively occurring.
