Seo Young-Ok, ceo of Fine Technology inaugurated as the new chairperson of the PKNU alumni association

Seo Young-Ok, ceo of Fine Technology, (68 years old) was installed as the 14th chairperson of the Pukyong National University alumni association on February 27th.

Ms. Seo was inaugurated as the new chairperson at the inauguration ceremony of the chairperson of the Pukyong National University alumni association held at Somin hall on the 2nd floor of the Mirae building of Pukyong National University on the afternoon of the same day. Her term of office is 2 years.

Ms. Seo, the new president, was elected as the first female alumni association chairperson of Pukyong National University in 2015 and had served as the 10th general alumni president. This time, she took the office as the first incumbent chairperson of the Pukyong National University alumni association.

The new chairperson, Ms. Seo, graduated from the class of 1975 in chemical engineering of Pukyong National University. She pioneered the industrial special tape market after the establishment of Fine Technology in 1998 and won the 10-million-dollar export tower, the gold tower order of industrial service merit, and the female engineer award, and is an entrepreneur who has led a global company with world level technology.

The new chairperson expressed her impressions in the inaugural address that day. “Our proud Pukyong National University has developed into a global university obtaining universal recognition. I will continue to make efforts so that the university can develop with stronger competition by joining forces with 220,000 alumni members.”

Lee Seung-Cheol, the 13th chairperson of the alumni association, who resigned on this day, served as the chairperson for two years from 2021 and received a plaque of appreciation for his contribution to leading the alumni association.

In celebration of the new resignation and inauguration, the new alumni chairperson Seo Young-Ok donated 20 million won, and former alumni chairperson Lee Seung-Cheol donated 10 million won to Pukyong National University for the growth and development of their alma mater. <Pukyong Today>
