PKNU held a commencement for August graduates in 2023

- 1,323 students graduate at administration bldg. on Aug.18th.

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held a 'commencement ceremony for August graduates 2023' in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the university administration building on the morning of August 18th.

Pukyong National University conferred degrees on this day to a total of 1,323 students, including 927 undergraduates, 306 masters, and 90 doctors.

At the commencement ceremony, 16 students, including Eom Tae-Yoon (division of international commerce), received commendations from president, and Lee Ye-Ji (division of electronics and communications engineering) and received a commendation from the chairperson of the alumni association.

From August 16th, Pukyong National University provided support for graduates to take commemorative photos by renting graduation uniforms for each department in the colleges and installing a photo zone on campus, and the graduation ceremony held on the 18th was broadcast in real time online as well.

President Jang Young-Soo delivered a congratulatory speech at the ceremony, saying, "If outstanding talent like yours are tied by yesterday's work and do not prepare for tomorrow or innovate, we cannot expect any development and achievement," he added, "Now it’s your turn to discard yesterday and create tomorrow and become the captain of change and innovation.”

He encouraged, "I expect that you will grow into a better Pukyong member who goes forward with yourself and the world. I hope you do not forget that the values of the environment, peace, and justice that the world aims for all, comes from you."

Seo Young-Ok, chairperson of the alumni association, said in the congratulatory speech, "I am happy to deliver my congratulations to everyone who received your degrees today. As a late bloomer, I also had a hard time juggling business management and school studies, but I think I am where I am now because I endured that rough time. I sincerely hope that all of you take an active part as convergent and harmonious talents to meet the requirement of the age." <Pukyong Today>
