Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that five doctoral students were finally selected for the research subsidies for phd candidates program.

As a result of the selection of new tasks for basic research in science & engineering (fostering the next generation of researchers-research subsidies for phd candidates) in 2023 recently announced by the Ministry of education and the National research foundation of Korea, five doctoral students including Yim Na-Dan (department of physical), Woon Seong-Cheon (marine biology), Kim Se-Chang (department of industry 4.0 convergence bionics engineering), Kim Seon-Hwa (department of industry 4.0 convergence bionics engineering), Seo Ro-Sa (department architecture engineering) from Pukyong National University were selected.

This project is intended to support students in leading and independent research on creative and challenging ideas related to doctoral students' thesis topics so that they can grow as researchers by providing research opportunities according to their growth stage to the next-generation researchers.

Five doctoral students at Pukyong National University will each receive annual research funding of 20 to 40 million won through this project and will conduct research for 1 to 2 years.

Yim Na-Dan will carry out research tasks about 'development on e-sports warm-up program: acute effects on target hitting performance and upper extremity movement patterns', and Woon Seong-Cheon will proceed research on 'development of optimal technology for effluent treatment of circulating filtration aquaculture system using multiple water treatment methods'.

Also, Kim Se-Chang will carry out a research project on 'development of bio-ink using atelocollagen derived from marine animals and development of 3D scaffold for tissue regeneration', Kim Seon-Hwa does research on 'A study to confirm the in vivo effectiveness of a non-supporting body-based injectable tissue engineering treatment for tendon regeneration', and Seo Ro-Sa studies on 'proposal of design guidelines based on sound insulation and thermal performance of floor structures'. <Pukyong Today>
