PKNU received 'grade A' in the national university development project incentive evaluation

- excellent in the new establishment of advanced departments and the strengthening of the quality of education, secured project cost of 15.6 billion won

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) recently received a 'grade A' in the national university development project incentive evaluation by Ministry of Education’s national university, securing a total of 15.6 billion won in project expenses this year.

A total of 37 national universities are participating in the national university development project, which supports universities to strengthen their autonomous innovation, competitiveness, and accountability as a base for balanced regional development.

To provide additional incentives to the basic support, the incentive evaluation was conducted in three areas, including innovative educational strategies, core educational outcomes, and self-performance management, and was verified by experts to give the final evaluation grade.

Based on the efforts and achievements of Pukyong National University for its innovation, which included a complete reorganization of the academic structure, flexibility in the academic system, and strengthening support for job hunting and startups, the university was evaluated that the educational innovation roadmap and annual implementation plan were appropriately established, including the establishment of cutting-edge departments linked to regional strategic industries and the development of education quality management through competency-based.
