Six PKNU students passed the Grade 7 public official test in 2022 by school recommendation and screening

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that it has produced six final successful candidates in the Grade 7 public official trainee test of 2022.

In the list of final selection of this year's Grade 7 public official trainee test recently announced by the Ministry of personnel management(MPM), Pukyong National University has listed Yim Jae-Seon (Dept. of public administration, enrolled in '14), Jo Hyeon-Seok (History, enrolled in '15), Kwon Deok-Yeon (Economics, enrolled in '16), Oh So-Jeong (English, enrolled in '17), and Lee Won-Beom (Information and communications engineering, enrolled in '16) and Hwa Ji-Hyeon (Aquaculture and applied life sciences, enrolled in '18) in technical position.

The Grade 7 public official trainee examination was introduced in 2005 to evenly recruit talents by region, thereby strengthening the regional representation of public offices and diversifying recruitment routes. Those who graduate (or are expected to graduate) within the top 10% of the department's grades are recommended by the university president and selected through a written test (PSAT and constitution), document screening, and interview.

In this year's exam, a total of 161 people, including 100 in the administrative official and 61 in the technical official, passed the final exam. Successful applicants will complete basic training in the first half of next year, undergo internship at a central administrative agency for one year, and then be appointed as grade 7 officers according to the outcome.

Pukyong National University also operated a support program for test takers last year, such as producing six passers in the Grade 7 public official of by school recommendation and has produced a total of 60 passers so far. <Pukyong Today>
