Cultural Exchange between Korean and Japanese University Students for National Liberation Day

8․15 광복절을 앞두고 한․일 대학생들이 2주일 동안 숙식을 함께 하며 문화체험 행사를 연다.
부경대학교(총장 박맹언)는 8월 9일부터 21일까지 도호쿠대학, 홋카이도대학 등 일본 9개 대학 학생 25명을 초청해 부경대 재학생들과 함께 하는 문화체험 및 외국어연수 행사를 진행한다.
양국 대학생들은 9일 환영식을 시작으로 한국어 강좌를 비롯 사물놀이, 한지공예, 다도, 태권도, 토론 등 다양한 문화체험 프로그램에 참여한다.
특히 13일 오전 ‘한․일간의 편견’을 주제로 일본인의 이상한 점, 한국인의 이상한 점 등을 서로 허심탄회하게 토론하며 상호 이해의 폭을 넓히는 계기를 마련한다.
이와 함께 ‘한․일 대학생들에게’(재부산일본국총영사 다미쯔지 슈우이쯔), ‘한․일 생활문화와 매너’(부산외대 정기영 교수), ‘한․일 언어 커뮤니케이션의 갭’(부경대 이시즈카 켄 교수) 등의 특강과 아시아공동체학교 교류회 등의 프로그램에도 참여한다.
이번 행사는 부경대 학생이 일본 학생과 1:1 버디(Buddy)로 배정돼 행사 기간 동안 대학 기숙사에서 24시간 같이 생활하며 친교를 강화하는 점도 특징이다.
부경대 국제교류원 정연호 원장은 “일본 학생들에게 한국문화 체험의 기회를 제공하고, 한국 학생들의 국제적 커뮤니케이션 능력을 향상하는 것은 물론 광복절을 맞아 양국 젊은이들이 상호 이해의 폭을 넓히기 위해 이 행사를 마련했다.”고 밝혔다.<부경투데이>
Cultural Exchange between Korean and Japanese University Students for National Liberation Day
-Students from 9 Japanese universities participated in the event for two week in Pukyong National University.
Having National Liberation Day ahead, college students from Korea and Japan stay together as a cultural exchange event for two weeks.
PKNU hosts this cultural exchange and language training event between the Japanese students and PKNU students, inviting 25 students from 9 Japanese universities including Tohoku University and Hokkaido University.
Beginning with the welcoming ceremony on August 9, the students from both countries participate in various cultural experiences such as Korean language courses, samulnori, hanji crafts, tea ceremony, taekwondo, and discussions.
Especially on 13 in the morning, there is a discussion session, titled “prejudice between Korean and Japanese”, which deals with strange behavior or practice of Japanese and that of Korean, so that it helps broaden and deepen mutual understanding.
Along with the event, they listen to a number of lectures including “Dear Korean and Japanese Students” by the Japanese Consul General at Busan Tamichuzi Shuiz, “Life and Culture, and Manners of Korean and Japanese” by Professor Kiyoung Jeong, Busan University of Foreign Studies, and “Gap between Korean and Japanese Language Communication” by Professor Isizka Ken, Pukyong National University, and they also had a joint seminar with Asia Community School.
The distinctive feature of this event between the two countries is that each Japanese student is assigned to work and stay with a Korean counterpart like a buddy 24 hours a day and has an opportunity to strengthen their friendship.
