            부경대학교는 8월 24일(금) 오전 11시 대학본부 2층 대회의실에서 2011학년도 후기 학위수여식을 개최했다.
이날 수여식에는 김영섭 총장, 신현술 총동창회 수석부회장, 학부모들이 참석한 가운데 학사 1,211명, 석사 282명, 박사 61명 등 총 1,554명이 학위를 받았다.
성적 우수자인 김지언 씨(건축공학과)가 총장상으로 금메달을 받았다. 이규정 씨(일어일문학부) 등 7명은 열성적인 봉사와 교내외 학술활동으로 학교 발전에 기여한 공로로 공로상을 수상했다. 정은비 씨(국제통상학부)는 총동창회장상, 고영규 씨(통계학과)는 기성회장상을 각각 받았다.
김영섭 총장은 축사에서 “사회에 나가서도 대학에서 연마한 전문지식을 바탕으로 쉼 없이 냉철한 지성을 계발하고 뜨거운 감성을 길러서 이 사회의 등대가 되기를 바란다.”고 당부했다.<부경투데이>

            'Graduation day in fall' held in PKNU

            - 1,554 students graduated in the latter part of the presentation day on 24th August, at 11am in the Main conference room of the Main building
PKNU (President Kim Young-seup) held the latter part of the presentation day in 2011 at 11am in the Main conference room on the 2nd floor of the Main building.
On that day, a total of 1,554 degrees were presented including 1,211 bachelor's degrees, 282 master's degrees, and 61 doctor's degrees, while PKNU President Kim Young-seup, Vice-Chairman of Graduates' Association Shin Hyun-sul, and school parents were attending.
Kim Ji-eun, who is a major of Architectural Engineering and has also achieved superior grades, received a gold medal prize from the President. In addition, Lee Gyu-jung, a Japanese Language and Literature major, and 7 other students received achievement awards for their contribution to committed volunteer and academic works in and out of the university. Furthermore, Jung Eun-bi, who is an International Trade major, received a prize from the Dean of Graduates' Association, and Go Young-gyu who is a Statics major, received a prize from the President of School Supporting Association.
In the congratulatory message from President Kim, he asked that after becoming a member of society, he wanted the students to be a lighthouse that can show the right way to others, using the knowledge that they have gained, their hard-edged intelligence, and warm sensitivity.<Pukyong Today>
