부경대학교 한국여성과학기술인지원센터(WISET)동남권역사업단(단장 윤종태․인쇄정보공학과 교수)이 전국 16개 WISET 지역사업단 가운데 최우수 평가를 받았다.
부경대 WISET동남권역사업단은 교육과학기술부와 한국연구재단이 실시한 ‘WISET 지역사업단 2012년도 연차실적평가 및 2013년도 사업계획컨설팅’ 결과, ‘이공계 여성인재 육성․지원사업’과 ‘여성과학기술인지원센터 운영사업’ 부분에서 각각 최우수(S), 우수(A) 등급을 받았다.
이 사업단은 이번 평가에서 학과별 1~2명의 여학생들을 선발해 이공계 롤모델로 키우는 ‘엘리트여학생멤버십’ 프로그램을 비롯해 ‘동남권 여성과학기술인 선상워크숍’ 등 여성과학기술인 양성을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램이 높은 점수를 받았다.
한편 교육과학기술부와 한국연구재단은 WISET을 통해 여성과학기술인을 전국적으로 육성, 지원하기 위해 지난해부터 부경대를 비롯 충남대, 전남대, 경북대 등 4개 대학을 권역사업단으로 선정하고, 홍익대, 성균관대, 인하대, 공주대, 한국교원대, 목포대, 군산대, 제주대, 대구가톨릭대, 강원대, 울산대, 인제대 등 12개 대학을 지역사업단으로 선정해 지원하고 있다.<부경투데이>
WISET Southeast area business team, the best appraisal

PKNU WISET Southeast area business team (representative Jong-Tae Youn in Graphic Arts Information Engineering) got the best appraisal among 16 domestic WISET teams.
PKNU WISET Southeast area business team got S grade for training talented women in natural sciences and engineering, and A grade for business of supporting centers for women scientists among WISET regional business teams on the 2012 annual performance evaluation and in 2013 for the consultation of business plans conducted by National Research Foundation of Korea and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
This team scored highly for running personalized programs for women scientists and engineers such as the Elite Womens Student Membership which selects 1~2 female students as role models of natural science and engineering, and the Southeast Womens Scientist and Engineers’ workshop on the board.
The National Research Foundation of Korea and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology selected Pukyong National University, Chungnam National University, Chonnam National University, and Kyungpook National University as teams in charge of their region to train women scientists and engineers through WISET. In addition, Hongik University, Sungkyunkwan University, Inha University, Kongju National University, Korea National University of Education, Mokpo National University, Kunsan National University, Jeju National University, Catholic University of Daegu, Kangwon National University, University of Ulsan, and Inje University were selected as real business teams.
