 .JPG) △ 글로벌수산대학원 현판식 참가자들이 기념촬영하고 있다.ⓒ이성재 사진(홍보팀) 부경대학교가 글로벌수산대학원을 신설, 수산과학기술분야 고급인재 양성에 나섰다. 부경대학교 수산과학대학은 4일 오전 수산과학대학 1층에서 지난 3월부터 운영해온 글로벌수산대학원 현판식을 개최했다. 우리나라 수산해양 과학기술의 종가(宗家)로 꼽히는 부경대가 수산 전문 특수대학원을 별도로 신설한 것은 이번이 처음이다. 부경대가 글로벌수산대학원을 설립한 것은 수산 해양 분야에 종사하는 중견 기술자 및 관리자들을 대상으로 새로운 정보와 지식을 제공하여 더욱 고도화‧전문화된 수산과학 전문가를 양성해 수산업 발전에 기여하기 위한 것이다. 부경대 수산과학대학에 소속된 글로벌수산대학원은 5학기제 석사과정이다. 학과는 생물산업공학과, 생물자원학과, 식품산업공학과, 양식학과, 어업생산학과, 해양경영정책학과 등 6개. 정원은 24명이다. 부경대는 조만간 신입생을 추가로 모집한다. 특히 부경대는 개발도상국 수산관련 공무원들에게 수산 기술을 전수하는 국제수산과학협동과정을 글로벌수산대학원에 정규교육과정으로 추가로 설치, 국제적인 인력개발에 주력해 수산자원확보 등을 위한 국제협력 기반을 강화할 예정이다. 부경대가 한국국제협력단(KOICA)과 공동으로 지난 2010년 7월부터 운영해온 국제수산과학협동과정에는 지금까지 32개국 60명이 수산학 석사과정에 참가했다. 글로벌수산대학원 장영수 원장은 “우리는 글로벌수산대학원을 통해 국제수산해양자원의 지속 가능한 개발과 이용을 위해 학문적 이론과 응용방법을 연구 교수하여 창의적 능력을 갖춘 글로벌 수산전문인력을 키워나갈 것.”이라고 말했다.<부경투데이> -1.JPG) △현판식 참가자들이 수산과학대학 앞에서 기념촬영하고 있다. The school is for building up a capacity of a middle-grade fisheries experts As PKNU established the Global Fisheries Graduate School, it started to cultivate people of ability in the fisheries science and technology field. On the morning of June 4th, the College of Fisheries Science in Pukyong conducted a signboard hanging ceremony for the Global Fisheries Graduate School which is being run from March of this year. This is the first time to create a fisheries-focused special graduate school in Pukyong National University, which is known as one of the top domestic marine-fisheries science and technology fields. The reason why PKNU established the Global Fisheries Graduate School is to contribute to the improvement of the fisheries field by offering new information and knowledge to middle-grade fisheries technicians and managers who are actually working in the field. The Global Fisheries Graduate School, belonging to the College of Fisheries Science in Pukyong, offers a master course with 5 semesters. The Departments are divided into 6 areas: Biotechnology Industrial Engineering, Biological Resources, Food Industrial Science and Engineering, Aquaculture Technology, Fishery Production, and Marine Management Police. The fixed number is 24 and the school will recruit new students soon. In addition, Pukyong will add an International Fisheries-Science Cooperation Course onto the regular course for teaching fisheries technology to developing countries’ officials who are working in the field, so it will enhance the international cooperation base in order to secure fisheries resources. Around 60 people from 32 countries have attended the International Fisheries-Science Cooperation Course since it was developed by Pukyong National University and KOICA together from 2010 July. "We will train creative global fisheries experts through this graduate school with a continuous study of scientific theory and its application for utilizing technology development of international marine resources," Jang Young-Soo, the president of Global Fisheries Graduate School, said.<Pukyong today>  |
