부경대학교가 교육부의 교육역량강화사업 성과평가에서 전국 국공립대학(재학생 1만 명 이상) 중 최우수 대학으로 선정됐다.
부경대는 사업 성과평가가 처음 실시된 2010년부터 3년 연속 우수대학으로 선정된 후 올해는 최우수 대학이라는 좋은 성적을 받은 것이다.
이로써 부경대는 사업비 28억2천8백만 원과 최우수 대학에게 인센티브로 주어지는 6억4백만 원(지원금의 21.4%)을 포함, 모두 34억3천2백만 원을 정부로부터 지원받아 학생들의 교육역량강화를 위한 다양한 사업에 투입할 수 있게 됐다.
이번 평가는 교육역량강화사업 프로그램의 자율성과지표 달성도, 사업비 집행의 효율성, 사업실적보고서 등을 종합적으로 평가한 결과다.
부경대는 실용적 전문인력 양성을 위해 학생들의 기초학습역량을 키우는 다짐트랙, 글로벌 역량을 북돋우는 키움트랙, 취업역량을 강화해주는 이룸트랙 등 3단계의 교육역량강화 프로그램을 기획 운영해 주목을 받고 있다.
특히 부경대는 우수한 글로벌 인재를 육성하기 위해 외국어 향상 프로그램 등 국제화 프로그램을 장학 사업과 연계하여 학생들의 성취동기를 이끌어 내고 있다. 특성화 분야의 활성화를 위해 단대별 특성화 프로그램과 특성화분야 공모전 지원 프로그램도 좋은 결실을 내고 있다. 저학년부터 고학년까지 취업과 진로의 방향을 잡아주는 맞춤형 취업지원 프로그램도 좋은 평가를 받고 있다.
한편 부경대는 교육역량강화사업이 시작된 2008년부터 올해까지 6차에 걸쳐 사업비 255억4천8백만 원과 인센티브 21억4천7백만 원 등 모두 276억9천5백만 원의 국고지원금을 받았다.<부경투데이>

Pukyong National University has been selected as the best university of education empowerment business among national universities which have more than ten thousand students from an evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education.
Pukyong National University had been selected as an excellent university three years in a row since the evaluations started in 2010, and it was selected as the best university again this year.
Therefore, the university received financial support of around 3.4 billon won, including 2.8 billion won for working expenses and 6.4 hundred million won (21.4 percent of supporting fund) of incentives for the best university. So the university can invest in various businesses in order to develop students' educational capabilities.
The results were from the overall evaluation, including the program achievement of index for autonomous performance, efficiency of execution of working expenses, and the business performance report.
Pukyong National University attracted attention because of its three-step educational empowerment program which has basic track for basic educational capability, develop track for global capability of students, and achieve track for enhancing employment ability.
In addition, the university is trying to motivate students to become globally-talented people through internationalization programs such as foreign language classes. Specialization programs of each department and contest supporting programs are also achieving good results. Furthermore, customized employment support programs to help students with their career choices from the lower grades to upper grades also received positive comments.
Meanwhile, Pukyong National University has received a total of around 27.6 billion won of government support, including 25.5 billion won of working expenses and 2.1 billion won of incentives due to their six selections since the business started in 2008.<Pukyong today>
