부경대학교(총장 김영섭)가 교육부의 2013년 대학기관평가인증을 획득했다.
대학기관평가인증제도란 교육부가 전국 국(공)·사립대학의 국제적인 통용성을 높이고, 교육 수요자에게 대학교육의 질을 보증함은 물론 대학의 지속적인 질 개선을 유도하기 위하여 2011년 처음 도입됐다.
교육부 주관으로 한국대학교육협의회 부설 대학평가원이 5년 주기로 대학별로 6개 영역(17개 평가부문, 53개의 평가준거)을 평가한다.
부경대는 이번 평가에서 전임교원 확보율 등 6개의 필수평가준거와 대학사명 및 발전계획 등 6개의 평가영역을 충족해 인증을 획득했다.
인증 획득 대학은 대학경영과 교육을 구성하는 요소, 즉 대학사명, 교육, 대학구성원, 교육시설, 대학재정 및 경영, 사회봉사 등에서 고등교육 관계 법령과 대학이 구현하고자 하는 교육의 질을 보증할 기본요건을 갖추고 있고 지속적으로 질 개선을 위해 노력하고 있음을 말한다.
인증기간은 2014년 1월 1일부터 2018년 12월 31일까지 5년간이다.
인증 결과는 고등교육법 제11조의2제4항에 의거해 2014년부터 정부의 행·재정적 지원 사업에 반영, 활용된다.<부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Got Certification from University Institutional Evaluation in 2013

Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-Seup) has received certification from the University Institutional Evaluation in 2013 from the Ministry of Education.
The university institutional evaluation system was introduced by the Ministry of Education in 2011 for improvements of domestic universities’ international mobility, educational quality, and universities capability.
The university evaluation center of the Korean Council for University Education, run by the Ministry of Education, conducted the five-year period evaluation in 6 fields including 17 evaluation sections and 53 evaluation criteria.
Pukyong National University received certification by meeting 6 mandatory evaluation criteria, including full-time faculty procurement rate, and 6 evaluation sections such as university mission and its development plan.
The universities with certification means that they are constantly trying to improve their quality of education and they also have enough fundamental requirements and its relational statutes already to run the universities with various factors such as university mission, education, faculty, facility, finance and management, and volunteer.
The valid date is for five years: from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018.
The results of the evaluation will be used for government’s administrative and financial supporting business according to Article 11 Section 4 of the Higher Education Act. <Pukyong Today>
