부산 최초의 기술경영전문대학원이 문을 열었다.
부경대학교(총장 김영섭)는 3일 오후 2시 부산 남구 용당동 용당캠퍼스 3공학관에서 기술경영전문대학원(원장 옥영석) 개원식을 개최했다.
기술경영(MOT: Management Of Technology)전문대학원은 공학기반의 경영능력을 겸비한 인재를 양성하는 대학원을 말한다.
이날 개원한 기술경영전문대학원은 정부로부터 향후 5년간 매년 7억 원씩 국비를 지원받아 기술경영 전문석사 및 박사 학위과정을 운영한다. 총정원은 100명이다.
옥영석 원장(시스템경영공학부 교수)은 “현장밀착형 기술경영 고급인력을 양성해 지역 R&D 경쟁력 제고에 최선을 다할 것.”이라고 각오를 밝혔다.
이를 위해 기술경영전문대학원은 △지역특화산업의 ICT융복합 기반 기술혁신역량 강화 및 R&D 사업화 지원, △동아시아지역 중심 MOT 네트워크 구축 등을 교육목표로 설정했다.
부경대는 기술경영전문대학원 개원으로 과학기술융합전문대학원 등 2개의 전문대학원을 갖게 됐다. 과학기술융합전문대학원은 해양바이오와 LED(발광다이오드) 학문을 융합 교육하는 국내 최초의 전문 교육과정으로 지난 2014년 개원했다.
한편 이날 개원식에는 김영섭 총장을 비롯한 교무위원과 손재학 국립해양박물관장, 김태경 부산테크노파크 원장, 박정환 중소기업진흥공단 부산지역본부장, MOT 원우회장 강인철 엘스콤 대표 등 100여명이 참석했다.<부경투데이>
The First Specialized MOT School in Busan

Pukyong National University opened the door of the first Specialized Graduate School Management of Technology (MOT) in Busan.
The opening ceremony was held at 2pm on 3 March in the Engineering Building #3 at Yongdang Campus of PKNU, and was attended by members of PKNU and eminent persons from different backgrounds, including President Kim Yeong-seup and members of the academic board, Director of Korea National Maritime Museum Son Jae-hak, President of Busan Techno Park Kim Tae-kyung, Chief of the Busan Rgional Headquarter of Small & medium Business Corporation Kim Tae-gyeong, and President of the MOT students association Gang In-cheol who is also the CEO of ELSCOM.
The Specialized Graduate School MOT aims to cultivate leaders and experts with engineering-based management capacity.
The school operates advanced education program in MOT with yearly support of the government expenditure of 700 million won for 5 years. A hundred students who are admitted and complete the curriculum will be granted the Masters’ and Doctors’ Degree in Management of Technology when they graduate.
“We will do all we can do to produce academically and professionally qualified individuals to meet the needs of companies for their R&D strategy and technical commercialization,” Director Ock Young-seok, professor of the Division of Systems Management and Engineering at PKNU, said firmly.
In line with that, the school’s educational objectives were set: to boost the industry’s capacity through technical revolution in ICT convergence and support its R&D business; to establish a network of MOT across the East Asian region.
The MOT school is PKNU’s second specialized graduate school after the Specialized Graduate School Science & Technology Convergence that opened in 2014, which carries out the first advanced education program in Korea on multidisciplinary research in marine bio and light emitting diode (LED). <Pukyong Today>
