            8개월간 혼자 세계 18개국을 여행하고 돌아와 여행서적까지 펴낸 대학생이 화제다.
최근 「쫄보의 여행」(시드페이퍼)을 출간한 부경대학교 경영학부 4학년 이승아 학생이 그 주인공.

            그는 지난 2015년 10월부터 2016년 6월까지 남아메리카, 아프리카, 아시아, 유럽 등 18개국을 여행하고 이 책을 펴냈다.
이 책은 부제 ‘나 홀로 249일, 유쾌한 18개국 62개 도시 정복기’에서 알 수 있듯 여자 혼자 세계여행을 떠나기 위한 준비과정부터 여러 나라에서의 유쾌한 여행경험을 에피소드 형식으로 생생하게 담아내 주목받고 있다.
책 제목의 ‘쫄보’란 좀팽이란 의미의 졸보를 속되게 이르는 말이다. 그는 “여자 혼자 세계여행을 했다고 하면 용감하고 당찬 성격일 거라고 생각하지만, 반대로 정말 소심하고 겁이 많다.”면서, “이런 사람도 세계여행을 할 수 있다는 점에 많은 분들이 공감해줘서 책이 나올 수 있었던 것 같다.”고 말했다.
평범한 여대생이 여행서적까지 펴낸 과정도 이채롭다. 그는 페이스북(Facebook)의 여행 관련 인기 페이지 ‘여행에 미치다’에 여행 준비과정부터 여행지에서의 경험담과 사진을 실시간으로 꾸준히 게시하면서 누리꾼들의 큰 호응을 얻었다. 여행이 끝난 뒤에는 해당 페이스북 페이지 관리자의 추천과 출판사의 적극적인 요청으로 책을 출간하게 됐다.
이 책은 세계여행의 거창함이나 화려함보다는 제목처럼 지극히 현실적인 이야기를 싣고 있다. 1년간 휴학하며 3개의 아르바이트를 해서 마련한 여행경비 1300만원을 어떻게 아껴 썼는지, 언제 어떻게 어디로 이동할 것인지 등 구체적인 계획은 물론, 여행하면서 즐거웠던 일과 힘들었던 일, 화났던 일 등을 자세하게 실었다.
그는 여행 중 가장 힘들었던 일로 볼리비아의 6천m급 설산 와이나포토시 등반을 꼽았다. “단체로 오르는 방식이라 죽을 것 같이 힘들어도 포기할 수 없었지만, 정상에 오르고 보니 앞으로 못할 것이 없을 것 같았다.”고 회상했다.
그는 “평소 꿈꿔왔던 세계여행을 다녀오면서 인생을 혼자 살아갈 수 있는 힘을 얻었다.”면서, “여행 관련 콘텐츠를 만드는 것이 좋아서 앞으로도 여행 분야에서 창조적으로 활동하는 사람이 되고 싶다.”고 말했다. <부경투데이>

The title of the book is ’Jjolbo’, which means that it is a petty person (small-minded). she said, "I think that if I traveled the world on my own, I would be brave and loyal, but on the contrary, I am really timid and frightened." "Many people sympathize with the fact that these people can travel around the world."
The process of publishing a travel book by an ordinary female college student is also interesting. She posted on Facebook ’s most popular travel related pages, "Traveling Crazy." She posted a lot of experience and photos in real time. After the trip, the book was published with recommendations from the Facebook page manager and an active request from the publisher.

            This book has a fairly realistic story, titled the magnificence and splendor of traveling around the world. She had detailed plans including how to save the 13 million won for the one-year absence and three part-time work, how to move when and where, as well as the fun, the hard work, and the angry things on the trip.
She cited Bolivia’s 6,000-meter-high mountain range and Inportos climbing as the hardest part of the trip. "I could not give up even if it was hard to die because of the way of going up to a group, but when I came to the top, it seemed that there was nothing I could do in the future."
"I was encouraged to live my life by going on my usual trip to the world I’ve dreamed of," she said. "I like making travel related content and I want to be a creative person in the travel field in the future." <Pukyong Today>
