부경대학교(총장 김영섭)는 부경대 전신 부산수산대 동문(어로학과 1958년 졸업)이자 동원육영재단 이사장인 김재철 동원그룹 회장의 후원으로 ‘부경대 Life Academy’를 설립한다고 31일 밝혔다. 2학기인 오는 9월부터 처음 운영되는 ‘부경대 Life Academy’는 인성(Sharing)과 사회성(Sociality), 전문성(Speciality)을 갖춘 4차 산업혁명 시대의 리더 양성을 목표로 하는 특별교육과정이다. 부경대는 오는 6월 8일(목)부터 12일(월)까지 재학생 가운데 40명을 선발, 9월부터 내년 2월까지 △인문 △경영 △봉사 △역량개발 등의 분야에서 강도 높은 사고훈련을 비롯한 다양한 교육프로그램을 제공한다. 교수진으로는 재능기부로 전·현직 대기업 임원과 언론사 논설위원 등이 참여, 자신들의 재능과 경험을 학생들에게 전수한다. 교육비는 전액 무료이며 식사, 시찰, 합숙캠프 등의 부대경비와 자기개발지원금도 지급된다. 소요경비는 동원육영재단이 후원한다. 교육은 매주 금요일 12시에 점심시간 겸 커뮤니티 회의를 시작으로 8시간 집중 교육으로 진행된다. 이 과정을 통하여 학생들은 인문분야에서 1인당 매월 책 1권을 완독하는 다양한 독서로 자신의 사고를 정립하고, 경영분야에서 소통과 협력의 팀별 사례연구(Case study)로 문제해결 능력을 습득하며, 봉사 및 역량개발과정에서 더불어 사는 삶을 실천하고 자기 주도적 미래를 설계하면서 내면의 변화를 꾀하게 된다. ‘부경대 Life Academy’ 운영을 총괄하는 김형석 교수(해양생산시스템관리학부)는 “이 과정은 후배들이 지식뿐 아니라 인성을 두루 갖춘 건전한 지식인으로 성장하는 데 도움을 주고 싶다는 김재철 회장의 뜻에 따라 운영되는 과정.”이라면서, “시대를 정확히 읽고, 문제해결 능력과 글로벌 품성을 갖추고 더불어 사는 삶을 실천하는 인재를 키우는 데 정성을 다할 것.”이라고 말했다. <부경투데이> The whole-person education process that entrepreneurs made to their alma mater is a topic for younger students to grow up to be wonderful young people. PKNU (President Kim Young-seup) announced on 31st that it will establish ’PKNU Life Academy’ with the support of Kim Jae-cheol, Dongwon Group Chairman of the Dongwon Yukyoung Foundation, and Pusan Fisheries University Alumni (graduated from Department of Fisheries, 1958) PKNU Life Academy, which is the first semester from following September, is a special education course aimed at nurturing leaders in the era of the fourth industrial revolution with sharing, sociality and specialty. PKNU selects 40 students from June 8th (Thur) to 12th (Mon) and from September to Next February, PKNU will provide high-level of cogitation training in fields such as humanities, management, service, and capacity development. It provides various educational programs. As teaching staffs, former and current big business executives and editorialists are participating in the gift of talent, and they pass on their talents and experiences to students. Educational expenses are free of charge, and expenses such as meals, inspection, camp camps, and self-development funds are also paid. The expenses are sponsored by the Dongwon Emergency Management Foundation. The training starts every Friday at 12:00 pm with a lunchtime and community meeting, followed by 8 hours of intensive training. Through this process, students will be able to develop their own thinking through reading various books that cover one book per month in the humanities field, acquire problem solving ability through case study of communication and cooperation team in management field in the process of volunteer and capacity development, we practice living together and design a self-leading future and make internal changes. Professor Kim Hyung-seok (Department of Marine Production System Management), who oversees the operation of PKNU Life Academy, said, "This course is operated according to Kim Jae-cheol’s intention to help younger students grow into healthy intellectuals with knowledge", and added that "We will do our utmost to cultivate talented people who read the times correctly and have problem-solving abilities and global character and practice living together." <Pukyong Today>
