            최근 부산일보와 국제신문 등이 2018학년도 수시모집 특집기사를 게재하면서 수시모집 열기가 뜨거워지고 있다.
 
국제신문은 지난달 28일자 ‘창의인재 성적 80%·면접 20% 선발…저소득층 전형 확대’라는 제목의 기사를 통해 “부산 최초의 대학인 부경대의 강점 중 하나는 높고 안정적인 취업률.”이라고 소개했다.
 
이 신문은 “2015년 국립대 가 그룹 취업률 1위를 기록한 것을 비롯해 최근까지 법인 서울대를 제외한 국립대 가운데 최상위권 취업률을 해마다 이어가고 있다.”면서, “최근 5년 동안 인사혁신처 주관 ‘지역인재 7급 공무원 선발시험’에 부산지역 대학 가운데 부경대가 최다 합격자를 배출했다는 점은 부경대 취업의 ‘품질’을 알 수 있는 대목.”이라고 보도했다.
 
 이어 부산일보는 지난달 31일자 수시특집 지면에서 ‘부산 최초 대학, 맞춤형 지원으로 국립대 가그룹 취업률 최상위권’이라는 제목의 부경대 소개 기사를 통해 “부경대는 해운대해수욕장과 광안리해수욕장을 끼고 있어 캠퍼스 자체가 핫플레이스.”라고 소개했다.

            이 기사는 “학생이 주로 상주하는 대연캠퍼스 일대는 서울 ‘홍대 앞’에 비견된다. 캠퍼스 담장을 허문 후 8년 동안 캠퍼스 주위로 아기자기한 카페와 이색 맛집, 공연장이 잇달아 들어섰기 때문이다. 용당캠퍼스에 있는 공과대학 일부 학과도 2018년엔 대연캠퍼스로 모두 옮긴다.”면서, “학생생활관은 3개 동 3150명을 수용한다. 최근 들어선 지방 최초 행복연합기숙사의 학생 수(1520명)까지 합치면 4600명을 넘는다. 학생생활관은 강의실과 가깝다.”고 강의실을 자전거로 오고갈 수 있는 부경대의 풍경을 전했다.
 
이 두 신문이 소개한 부경대 모습과 입시전형 내용을 간추려 본다.
 
특화된 취업 지원

            부경대의 높은 취업률 배경으로는 맞춤형 취업지원서비스가 손에 꼽힌다. 같은 계열로 취업하려는 학생끼리 동아리를 만들도록 독려해 취업 성공을 지원한다. 동아리는 모의 면접을 실시하고 활동 결과 보고 발표회 등을 통해 수시로 정보를 공유한다.

학생 경력을 일목요연하게 관리하는 학생경력관리시스템도 학생 취업에 디딤돌 역할을 하고 있다. 학생이 저학년부터 체계적으로 자신의 경력을 관리할 수 있다. 입사서류 작성 때 핵심자료로 쓸 수 있는 것도 장점이다.

            글로벌 인재 양성

            부경대의 외국인 유학생 국적은 매우 다양하다. 62개국 1300여 명의 외국인 유학생이 한국 학생과 한 강의실에서 함께 공부한다. 글로벌 캠퍼스인 셈.

글로벌 인재를 육성하기 위해 학생 해외 파견에도 적극적이다. 한 해 800여 명 이상의 재학생이 미국과 네덜란드, 핀란드, 중국, 일본 등지로 간다. 파견 대상국은 20여 개국에 달한다. 교환학생뿐만 아니라 어학 연수, 해외 계절학기, 문화교류, 해외봉사 등의 국제교류 프로그램에도 학생 참여를 권장하고 있다.(부산일보)

            풍성한 창업 지원과 국책사업

            부경대 용당캠퍼스는 산학협력과 창업 혁신 캠퍼스로 변신 중이다. 4차 산업을 리드하는 인재 양성과 신기술 창출을 위해서다. 캠퍼스를 통째로 기업에 개방해 미국 실리콘밸리에 버금가는 ’드래곤밸리’를 구축할 계획이다. 지난봄 용당캠퍼스를 방문했던 미래창조과학부 장관은 "부경대의 산학협력과 창업 현장이 가장 모범적"이라고 극찬했다. 

활발한 창업지원체계 또한 학생 시선을 붙드는 요소다. 학생 누구나 다양한 프로그램을 활용해 자신의 아이디어를 제품으로 구현하는 실험을 하면서 창업을 준비할 수 있다. 전공을 심화시키는 산학협력에도 참여 가능하다.

부경대는 다양한 국책사업을 많이 유치했다. 

우선 지난 4월 정부로부터 250억 원을 지원받는 사회맞춤형 산학협력 선도대학 육성사업(LINK+)에 선정됐다. 취업과 창업에 더 폭넓은 지원을 할 수 있는 토대다. 이밖에 산학협력과 창업, 해양인문학, 해양융복합 바이오닉스, 부식제어 융합기술, 해양LED 등에서 총 1900억 원 대 국책사업이 진행되고 있다. 부경대의 경쟁력을 보여주는 대목이다.(부산일보)

학생 잠재력 개발에 공 들인다

            부경대는 학생 잠재력 계발에 공을 들인다. 상담 전담 부서인 학생상담센터 이용자 현황이 그걸 보여준다. 연간 8000명에 이른다. 학생상담센터는 학교 적응과 진로 상담을 포함해 학생이 학교 생활에서 직면하는 갖가지 고민에 대해 전문적인 상담을 지원한다. 신입생 전체를 대상으로 적성탐색검사도 실시한다. 신입생이 초기 진로를 설정하는 데 도움을 주기 위한 프로그램이다. 학생은 누구든지 학기 중 개인상담, 집단상담, 심리검사를 받을 수 있다. 상담 전문가와 1대 1 무료 컨설팅도 가능하다.(부산일보)
 
주목 이 학과: 늦깎이 위한 동남권 최초 미래융합대학

            이번 부경대 수시전형에는 취업 등으로 배움의 기회를 놓친 성인들이 관심을 가질 만한 소식도 있다. ‘늦깎이 대학생’을 위해 동남권에서 최초로 설립된 미래융합대학이 신입생 200명을 모집한다. 미래융합대학은 ‘선취업 후진학’을 활성화하고 성인 학습자의 고등교육 기회를 확대하기 위해 국가 지원으로 운영되는 대학이다. 

부경대는 교육부와 국가평생교육진흥원이 추진하는 ‘대학의 평생교육체제 지원사업’에 선정됨에 따라 정부로부터 17억5000만 원을 지원받아 미래융합대학 운영에 투입한다. 지난해 ‘평생교육단과대학 지원사업’에 부산에서 유일하게 선정된 부경대는 이번 사업에 거듭 선정됨에 따라 미래융합대학 운영에 더욱 탄력을 받게 됐다.

지원 자격은 만 30세 이상 성인학습자 또는 산업체 재직경력이 3년 이상인 재직자이다. 수능성적 및 면접고사 없이 서류평가만으로 선발한다. 모집학과는 ▷평생교육·상담학과(55명) ▷기계조선융합공학과(45명) ▷전기전자소프트웨어공학과(45명) ▷공공안전경찰학과(55명) 등 4개 학과다. 기존 2개 학과가 폐지되고 공공안전경찰학과가 신설된 점이 특징이다. 공공안전경찰학과는 경찰·해양안전경비경찰·소방방재 등 공공안전 분야의 이론 및 실무에 대한 전문가를, 평생교육·상담학과는 평생교육 및 상담전문가로서의 우수한 직무역량을 갖춘 전문인력을 양성한다.(국제신문)

수능최저학력 기준 적용은?

            부경대학교는 2018학년도 전체 신입생 정원 3589명 가운데 약 70%인 2634명을 수시모집으로 선발한다. 수시모집은 학생부교과전형, 학생부종합전형, 실기전형으로 구분되며, 수능최저학력기준 적용 여부에 유의해야 한다.

학생부교과(창의인재, 교과성적우수인재)전형은 수능최저기준이 적용되지만, 학생부종합전형은 서류평가와 면접으로만 합격자를 뽑는다.(국제신문) 
 
복수지원은 몇회까지 가능?

            복수지원은 총 3회까지 가능해 학과 선택의 폭이 넓어졌으며(실기우수인재전형 지원 시 4회까지 가능), 저소득층 학생을 선발하는 전형(나눔인재, 미래인재)이 확대된 점이 특징이다.(국제신문)
 
학생부교과전형은?

            수능최저학력기준이 적용되는 학생부교과(창의인재, 교과성적우수인재)전형에서는 인문사회계열 모집단위는 수능 4개 영역 중 상위 2개 영역 합이 7등급 이내, 자연계열 모집단위는 수능 4개 영역 중 상위 2개 영역 합이 8등급 이내를 충족해야한다. 단, 자연계 수험생이 수학 ‘나’형을 선택한 경우에는 1등급 하향 적용된다는 점에 유의해야 한다.(국제신문) 
 
창의인재전형은?
창의인재전형은 1단계에서 교과 성적으로 4배수를 선발한 뒤 2단계 인성면접을 실시한다. 이후 1단계 성적 80%와 면접고사 성적 20%를 합산해 최종합격자를 선발한다. 교과성적우수인재전형은 면접고사 없이 교과 성적 100%로 선발한다.(국제신문)
 
학생부종합전형은?
학생부종합전형은 수능최저학력기준을 적용하지 않는다. 학교생활우수인재전형, 사회적배려대상자I·II전형, 지역인재전형은 1단계에서 서류종합평가로 3배수를 선발하고, 2단계는 제출서류를 기반으로 면접을 실시한다. 1단계 성적 80%와 면접성적 20%를 합산해 최종합격자를 선발한다. 미래인재전형 및 농어촌인재전형, 특성화고교인재전형, 평생학습자전형, 특성화고교 등을 졸업한 재직자전형은 면접 없이 서류평가만으로 선발한다.(국제신문)
 
정시모집은?
정시모집은 모집단위에 따라 ‘가군’과 ‘나군’ 각각 선발하며, 수능 100%로 955명을 선발한다. 글로벌자율전공학부를 제외한 전 모집단위에서 계열 구분 없이 교차 지원할 수 있다. 자연계열 모집단위는 수학 ‘가’형을 선택한 경우는 취득 표준점수의 20%, 과학탐구를 선택한 경우 과목당 취득 표준점수의 6%의 가산점이 부여된다.(국제신문)

             According to an article in the Kookje Daily News titled 'Selection of creative talent score 80%·Interview 20%' and 'Expansion of the admission for the low income class' on July 28, one of the strengths of PKNU, which is the first university in Busan, is high and stable employment rate.

 The newspaper said, "In 2015, the National University ranked first in the group employment rate, and until recently, the highest employment rate among the national universities except Seoul National University has been continuing each year." "In recent 5 years, PKNU among the universities in Pusan, produced the most successful applicants in the Local personnel 7th grade public officials selection examination hosted by the Ministy of Personnel Management. The point is that the 'qualiy of PKNU's employeement rate' can be known.

             The Busan Ilbo reported on PKNU, titled "The first university in Busan and the highest rank in the group employment rate, with customized support" in the featured page of the Busan Ilbo on July 31. "PKNU is located in near Haeundae and Gwangalli Beach, so the campus itself is a hot place."

 The article said, "The Daeyeon campus, where students usually reside, is comparable to Seoul's in front of Hongik University ". After 8 years of break-down a campus fence, the cafes, unique restaurants, and concert halls around the campus have grown. Some departments of engineering department on the Yongdang campus will also be transferred to the Daehan campus in 2018. "The student dormitory is 3 buildings and accommodates a total of 3,150 students, combined with the number of students(1520) in the first happy union dormitory in the province recently, it exceeds 4,600. Also the student dormitory is close to the lecture room."

            Specialized employment support

            In the background of PKNU's high employment rate, there are personalized employment support services. It encourages students who want to work in the same group to create clubs and support their success. The clubs conduct simulated interviews and share information from time to time through activities such as presentation of results reports.

             PKNU's Yongdang Campus is transforming into an industry-academy cooperation and foundation innovation campus.              PKNU pays attention to student potential development. The status of student counseling center users who are in charge of counseling department shows them. It reaches 8,000 a year. The Student Counseling Center provides professional counseling on various issues faced by students in school life, including school adjustment and career counseling. Aptitude search tests are also conducted for all new students. It is a program to help freshmen set up their initial course.              PKNU will recruit about 2,634 people by rolling admission that is about 70% of the total 3589 new students in the 2018 school year. Rolling admission is divided into student department curriculum, student department comprehensive examination, and practical examination.
