응웬 티 킴 응언(Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan) 베트남 국회의장이 부경대학교 명예정치학박사학위를 받았다. 부경대학교(총장 김영섭)는 12월 5일 오전 부산 남구 부경대학교 학술정보관 2층 영상세미나실에서 학위수여식을 열고, 탁월한 리더십과 강한 추진력으로 오늘날 베트남의 발전 및 한국과 베트남 간 교류협력에 기여한 공로로 응웬 티 킴 응언 국회의장에게 명예정치학박사학위를 수여했다.
응웬 티 킴 응언 국회의장은 이날 명예박사학위를 받은 후 인사말에서 “베트남 고위인사로는 처음으로 부경대에서 명예박사학위를 받게 되어 기쁘고 영광스럽게 생각한다.”고 소감을 밝혔다. 그는 “오늘 이 순간은 베트남과 한국 양국 수교 26년 동안 다방면에서 서로 협력 우호관계를 얼마나 잘 맺어온 것인지를 생생하게 보여주는 것”이라면서, “저에게는 평생 잊지 못할 순간이며 우리 국민들도 이 소식을 들으면 매우 기뻐할 것.”이라고 말했다. 김영섭 총장은 식사를 통해 “우리 대학은 베트남의 13개 대학과 인적‧학술적 교류를 활발히 진행하고 있고, 우리 대학 외국인 유학생 규모로는 두 번째로 많은 160여명의 베트남 학생들이 공부하고 있다.”면서, “이번 명예박사학위 수여를 계기로 우리 대학과 베트남이 긴밀한 국제협력을 통해 양국 간 우호가 더욱 증대되고, 우리가 함께 키워낸 인재들이 아시아 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 서로 협력해 나가기를 기대한다.”고 밝혔다. 응웬 티 킴 응언 국회의장은 이날 학위수여식 직후 부경대에 유학중인 베트남 학생들과 간담회를 갖고 “이곳 부경대에서 열심히 공부해서 석사 박사 학위까지 받고 베트남에 돌아와 국가발전에 이바지해 달라.”고 당부했다. 이날 행사에는 응웬 티 킴 응언 국회의장을 비롯, 응웬 반 자우(Nguyen Van Giau) 국회 대외위원회 위원장, 응웬 하잉 푸욱(Nguyen Hanh Phuc) 국회사무총장, 짠 반 뚜이(Tran Văn Tuy) 베트남-한국 의원친선협회 회장, 베트남 노동보훈사회부 장관, 공업상업부 장관, 주한베트남 대사 등과 부경대 김영섭 총장, 대학원장 등 보직교수, 부경대의 베트남 학생 등 150여명이 참석했다. <부경투데이> Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly received a Ph.D. in honorary political science from Pukyong National University. Kim Young-seup, the president of PKNU said, "Pukyong National University is actively engaged in human and academic exchange with 13 Vietnamese universities and the second largest number of foreign students in Vietnam is studying about 160 Vietnamese students in PKNU. I hope that our university and Vietnam will be able to cooperate closely with each other to increase the friendship between our two countries and contribute to the development of Asian countries. " Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the chairman of the National Assembly, met with Vietnamese students studying at Pukyong National University immediately after the award ceremony, saying, "Please study hard at Pukyong National University here and return to Vietnam with your master's degree to contribute to national development." 응웬 티 킴 응언 국회의장은 베트남 최초의 여성 국회의장으로 베트남에서 가장 존경받는 정치인으로 꼽히고 있다. 특히 한국을 전략적 동반자로 여기고 정치와 입법뿐만 아니라 노동 교육 무역 투자 등 여러 분야에서 베트남과 한국의 우호증진에 기여해 왔다.
