부경대학교(총장 장영수)가 동남권 14개 대학 공학교육혁신센터 공동 주관 ‘2020 S-HOW 성과발표회 및 시상식’에서 ‘2020 동남권 올해의 대학’ 최우수상을 수상했다. 부경대는 2월 2일 그랜드조선 부산호텔에서 열린 이번 행사에서 지난 한 해 동안 동남권 공학교육 혁신과 산학협력에 기여한 공로로 이 상을 받았다. 부경대는 공학교육혁신센터(센터장 정원교) 주관으로 산업통상자원부와 한국산업기술진흥원의 지원을 받아 2007년부터 창의융합형 공학인재 양성지원사업(구 공학교육혁신지원사업)을 수행하고 있으며, 지난해에는 비대면 온라인 교육 프로그램을 전면 시행해 공과대학생들에게 다양한 비교과 프로그램을 제공하는 등 공학교육 혁신을 위한 노력을 인정받았다. 특히 타 대학 공학교육혁신센터와 협력해 ‘언박싱 로봇제작 챌린지’, ‘AI 레시피 온라인 교육’, ‘창업N직무인사이트’, ‘건물에너지관리시스템 전문가 양성 온라인 교육’ 등을 기획 운영하고, 동남권 공학 교육 프로그램에도 적극적으로 참여하는 등 부경대 공과대학생들에게 다양한 공학교육 기회를 제공해 왔다. 부경대 공학교육혁신센터는 이번 수상과 함께 소속 피경진 전임연구원이 동남권 공학교육 발전에 기여한 공로로 ‘SUPER Staff 동남권 우수 직원 공로상’을 수상했다. 정원교 부경대 공학교육혁신센터장은 “코로나 확산으로 어려워진 교육여건을 극복하기 위해 추진해온 다양한 온라인 교육 노하우를 바탕으로 앞으로 더욱 완성도 높은 양질의 교육을 제공하기 위해 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다. 한편 부경대 공학교육혁신센터는 지난 2018년에도 동남권 올해의 대학 최우수상 수상을 비롯해 2017년과 2018년 사업평가결과 우수 등급을 받는 등 우수한 성과를 내고 있다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo) took the honor of grand prize in the 'Best Engineering Education in Southeast Area of the Year' at the 'S-HOW Awards Ceremony 2020' co-hosted by 14 universities' Innovation Center for Engineering Education in the Southeast region. Pukyong National University, under the supervision of the Innovation Center for Engineering Education (Jeong won-kyo, Director), supported by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), and has been carrying out the Project for Supporting the development of convergent engineering researchers since 2007 and last year, the university was recognized for its efforts to innovate engineering education, such as providing a variety of comparison programs and programs to engineering students through the full implementation of un-tact online education program. Especially, Pukyong National University has been collaborated with other universities' innovation centers for engineering education to offer programs such as 'Challenge for Unboxing Robot Manufacturing', 'Online Education for AI Recipe', 'Startup N Insight for job ', 'Online Education for Building Energy Management System Experts'. In addition, the university has provided various opportunities for engineering education to engineering students at Pukyong National University by actively participating in engineering education programs in the Southeast region. Along with this award, Pi Gyeong-jin, a researcher at the Innovation Center for Engineering Education of Pukyong National University has awarded the 'SUPER Staff, Outstanding Achievement Award for Employee in Southeast Area' for his contribution to the development of engineering education in the Southeast region. Jeong Won-kyo, director of the Innovation Center of Engineering Education of Pukyong National University, said, "Based on our various online education know-how that we have been promoting to overcome the difficult educational conditions caused by the spread of Corona, we will do our best to offer more complete and high-quality education in the future."
