1126 투데이 2국립부경대학교(총장 장영수) 4차산업융합바이오닉스공학과 김남균 연구원(석사과정 1년)이 2021년도 한국수산과학총연합회(회장 이상민) 국제학술대회에서 최우수 구두발표상을 수상했다.

김 연구원은 온·오프라인 방식으로 최근 열린 이번 학술대회에서 ‘키토올리고당을 함유한 폴리비닐알코올 및 메타크릴레이트 카라기난 기반의 삼중 가교된 하이드로겔의 제작 및 상처 치유 효능’ 연구를 발표해 우수한 평가를 받았다.

김 연구원은 한국연구재단의 이공분야 대학중점연구소 지원사업(연구책임자 정원교 교수)의 지원을 받아 진행된 이번 연구에서 상처 치유에 유리한 환경을 제공할 수 있는 하이드로겔 개발 및 피부 재생 효능을 연구했다.

그는 키토올리고당을 함유한 폴리비닐알코올과 메타크릴레이트 카라기난 기반의 하이드로겔을 제작, 피부 재생에 적합한 기계적 안정성, 생체 친화성 및 약물 전달성능을 확인했다.


이번 연구를 통해 제작된 하이드로겔은 인간유래 섬유아세포 및 피부 결손 동물모델을 이용해 실험한 결과, 우수한 항균 효능은 물론 흉터의 발생을 억제하고 상피조직 증식도 촉진시키는 것으로 나타났다.

한편 이번 국제학술대회를 공동주관한 한국수산과학회는 1955년 설립되어 국내 수산식품, 양식, 자원 분야 전문가 800여명이 회원으로 참여하고 있다. 매년 수산과학기술 발전을 주제로 학회를 개최하고 있다. <부경투데이>

- By inventing a hydrogel applicable to the wound recovery

    

A researcher Kim Nam-Gyun (1st year in master's course), a student at Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo)'s Department of 4th Industrial Convergence Bionics Engineering, won the Best Presentation Award at the 2021 International Conference hosted by the Korean Federation of Fisheries Sciences and Technology Societies (KOFFST, President Lee Sang-Min).

    

Kim presented a study on 'Fabrication and wound healing efficacy for triple-crosslinked hydrogels based on polyvinyl alcohol and methacrylate carrageenan containing Chito oligosaccharide' at this conference, which was recently held both online and offline, and he received good reviews on his presentation.

    

In this study, which was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea's (NRF) science and engineering support project of the Key Research Institutes for universities (Research directed by Prof. Jeong Won-Kyo), Kim studied the development of a hydrogel that can provide a favorable environment for wound healing and its skin regenerating potency.

    

After making a hydrogel based on polyvinyl alcohol and methacrylate carrageenan containing Chito oligosaccharide, he confirmed the mechanical stability, biocompatibility, and drug delivery performance, which are the criteria for whether it is suitable for skin regeneration.

    

The hydrogel produced through this study has excellent antibacterial efficacy because it uses human fibroblasts and animals with skin defects. In addition, the experimental results showed that it suppresses the occurrence of scars and promotes the proliferation of epithelial tissue.

    

The Korean Society of Fisheries and Aquatic Science (KOSFAS), which co-managed this international conference, was established in 1955 and has about 800 experts in the field of seafood, aquaculture, and resources in Korea. This institution holds an annual conference on the topic of fisheries science and technology development. <Pukyong Today>
