국립부경대 총동창회, 모교에 4억 6,600만 원 쾌척

- 창학 100주년 모교 응원 … 홈커밍데이 행사에서 전달

국립부경대학교 총동창회(회장 서영옥)가 창학 100주년을 맞은 모교에 발전기금 4억 6,600만 원을 쾌척했다.

서영옥 총동창회장은 지난 5월 9일 국립부경대 대학극장에서 동문 홈커밍데이 행사로 열린 ‘부경가족 한마음 음악회’ 행사에서 모교 발전을 위해 써 달라며 장영수 총장에게 발전기금을 전달했다.

서영옥 총동창회장은 “올해 모교 창학 100주년을 기념하고 축하하기 위해 동문들의 마음을 한데 모았다. 세계 속의 글로벌 대학으로 발돋움한 모교의 더욱 큰 성장과 발전, 도약을 응원한다.”라고 밝혔다.

국립부경대는 홈커밍데이 행사에 앞서 이날 창학 100주년 개교기념식과 봄축제인 대동제를 개최하는 등 5월 한 달간 오픈 캠퍼스, 국제포럼, 문학축전 등 창학 100주년을 기념하기 위한 다양한 행사를 진행하고 있다.

한편 국립부경대는 올해 창학 100년을 맞아 ‘창학 100년 발전기금(New-Turn 100)’ 모금, 소액 기부 캠페인 등 대학 발전을 위한 지원사업을 펼치는 가운데 대학 발전을 위한 기부가 이어지고 있다. <부경투데이>

PKNU alumni association donated 466 million won to alma mater

- delivered at the Homecoming Day event in support of the alma mater celebrating its centennial of the founding

Pukyong National University alumni association (chairperson Seo Young-Ok) donated 466 million won in development funds to the alma mater, which is celebrating its centennial of the founding.

On May 9th, Seo Young-Ok, chairperson of the alumni association, presented a development fund to President Jang Young-Soo during the 'Pukyong one-mind concert' event held at the Pukyong National University theater as part of the Homecoming Day event, expressing their support for the advancement of the alma mater.

Seo Young-Ok, chairperson of the alumni association, said, "This year, to commemorate and celebrate the 100th anniversary of our alma mater's founding, our alumni have come together with one heart. We support our alma mater's greater growth, development, and leap as a global university in the world."

Prior to the Homecoming Day event, Pukyong National University held a ceremony commemorating its centennial and Daedong-je, a spring festival, and is holding various events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding, such as an open campus, international forum, and literary festival during May.

Pukyong National University is continuing its support programs for university development in celebration of its centennial this year, with ongoing donations including 'New-Turn 100 fundraising' and small-scale donation campaigns for the advancement of the university. <Pukyong Today>
