‘교수님이 직접’ 고교생 전공·진로상담 행사 개최

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)가 고교생을 대상으로 대학교수가 직접 전공과 진로를 상담해 주는 행사를 개최했다.
국립부경대 입학본부(본부장 박인호)는 1월 23일 오후 대연캠퍼스 부경컨벤션홀에서 ‘고교생을 위한 ZOOM IN! 나의 전공찾기’ 행사를 열었다.
23, 24일 양일간 일정으로 열린 이번 행사에는 부산, 울산, 경남 등 지역 고등학교 1~2학년 학생 200여 명이 참석했다. 이 행사는 입시 준비에 나서는 고교생들에게 대학 입학 정보를 제공하고, 전공 선택을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 국립부경대 교수 27명이 직접 고교생들과 1대 1로 상담을 진행했다. 전공홍보단(부경자이로)과 입학홍보대사(부경나래) 등 재학생 38명도 고교생들의 궁금증을 풀어줬다.
교수들은 각 학과(전공)에 대해 직접 설명하고, 진로상담을 진행했다. 재학생들은 전공멘토로 나서 전공 정보와 함께 고교생들이 궁금해할 대학 생활을 소개했다.
입학관리과도 별도 부스를 마련해 입학사정관을 중심으로 입학상담 및 진로설계 컨설팅 기회를 제공했다.
한편 국립부경대는 교육부의 고교교육 기여대학 지원사업을 운영하며 학생의 입시부담 완화와 고교교육 내실화 등을 지원하기 위한 다양한 사업을 펼치고 있다. <부경투데이>

‘Professor-led’ High School Students Major and Career Counseling Event Held
-Pukyong National University Hosts ‘ZOOM IN! Finding My Major for High School Students’ on 23rd and 24th
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) hosted an event where university professors directly counseled high school students on choosing their majors and career paths.
The university’s Admissions Office (Director Park In-ho) held the ‘ZOOM IN! Finding My Major for High School Students’ event on January 23rd at the Pukyong Convention Hall on the Daeyeon campus.
It was held over two days on the 23rd and 24th, the event was attended by around 200 students from high schools in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. The event was designed to provide high school students with college admission information and assist them in selecting their majors as they begin preparing for university.
On this day, 27 professors from Pukyong National University personally conducted one-on-one counseling sessions with high school students. Additionally, 38 students from the university’s major promotion team (Pukyong Jairo) and admissions ambassadors (Pukyong Narae) helped address the students’ questions.
The professors provided direct explanations of their respective departments (majors) and offered career counseling. The students acted as mentors, introducing both major-related information and campus life, which high school students were curious about.
The Admissions Office also set up a separate booth to provide counseling on admissions and career planning through admissions officers.
Meanwhile, Pukyong National University operates the Ministry of Education’s High School Education Support Program to alleviate students’ entrance exam burdens and support the enhancement of high school education.
