국립부경대, 한-필리핀 조선해양 모빌리티 협력 포럼 개최
- 9일 필리핀 세부 … 용당캠퍼스 입주기업 글로벌 시장 진출 지원

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 9월 9일 필리핀 세부에서 부산 남구청, 조선해양플랜트엔지니어링협동조합(KOSEC)과 함께 ‘한-필리핀 조선해양 모빌리티 협력 포럼’을 개최했다.
이번 포럼은 2019년과 2022년 마닐라에 이어 세 번째로 개최된 행사로, 한국과 필리핀 간 조선해양산업의 공동 발전을 모색하고, 국립부경대 용당캠퍼스 입주기업의 해외 시장 진출을 지원하기 위해 열렸다.
국립부경대는 부산형 RISE(지역혁신중심 대학지원체계) 사업을 통해 블루푸드테크·에너지테크 분야를 중심으로 한 지·산·학·연 협력 생태계를 조성하고 있다. 특히, 글로벌 수주 추진단을 통해 용당캠퍼스 입주기업들이 필리핀을 비롯한 해외 시장에서 새로운 판로를 개척할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 프로그램을 운영하는 가운데 이번 포럼을 마련했다.
이 행사에는 한국 측에서 국립부경대 하명신 대외부총장과 김찬중 RISE사업단 운영본부장 겸 연구지원처장, 오은택 부산 남구청장, 이정환 KOSEC 이사장 및 입주기업 대표들이 참석했고, 필리핀 측에서는 국토교통부, 조선해양수산항만청(MARINA), 세부시장, 해군, 마닐라조선소협회(MMSAI) 관계자 등 120여 명이 함께했다.
행사에서는 KOSEC？MARINA 간 MOU 체결과 함께, 한국기업들과 현지 기업·기관 간 비즈니스 상담 및 네트워킹이 진행됐다. 참가 기업들은 현지 조선소 및 선주와의 만남을 통해 구체적인 협력 기회를 발굴하는 등 실질적인 수주 가능성을 높였다.
이어 10일에는 국립부경대가 세부대를 방문해 협력 양해각서를 체결하고, MARINA를 방문해 입주기업 활동과 연계한 실질적 협력 방안을 논의했다. 이번 포럼 성과는 오는 10월 부산 벡스코에서 열리는 국제조선 및 해양산업전(KORMARINE 2025)에서 입주기업들의 선박 건조 프로젝트 구매의향서(LOI) 체결로 이어질 전망이다.
배상훈 국립부경대 총장은 “이번 협력 포럼은 기술 교류를 넘어, 용당캠퍼스 입주기업들이 글로벌 시장에서 비즈니스 기회를 창출하는 실질적 장이 되었다. 앞으로도 기업들의 해외 진출을 적극 지원해 지역과 국가 조선해양산업의 경쟁력 강화를 선도하겠다.”라고 말했다. <부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Hosts Korea？Philippines Shipbuilding and Maritime Mobility Cooperation Forum
- Held on the 9th in Cebu, Philippines… Supporting Global Expansion of Yondang Campus-Based Companies
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) held the Korea？Philippines Shipbuilding and Maritime Mobility Cooperation Forum on September 9 in Cebu, Philippines, in collaboration with Nam-gu District Office of Busan and the Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Engineering Cooperative (KOSEC).
This marks the third edition of the forum, following previous events in Manila in 2019 and 2022. The event was organized to explore avenues for mutual development in the shipbuilding and maritime industries between Korea and the Philippines, while also supporting global market expansion for companies based at Pukyong National University’s Yondang Campus.
Through the Busan-type RISE (Regional Innovation System and Education) project, Pukyong National University is building a collaborative ecosystem that brings together local governments, industries, academia, and research institutes, with a focus on Blue Food Tech and Energy Tech sectors. In particular, the university organized this forum as part of its broader support program to help resident companies at the Yondang Campus explore new overseas markets, including the Philippines, through the Global Contract Promotion Task Force.
The event was attended by Ha Myung-Shin, Vice President for External Affairs at Pukyong National University; Kim Chan-Joong, Director of the RISE Project Operations Division and Director of Research Support; Oh Eun-Taek, Mayor of Nam-gu District, Busan; Lee Jung-Hwan, Chairman of KOSEC; and CEOs of resident companies. On the Philippine side, approximately 120 officials from the Department of Transportation, Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), Cebu City Government, the Philippine Navy, and the Manila Maritime Shipbuilders Association (MMSAI) participated in the event.
At the forum, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between KOSEC and MARINA, followed by business consultations and networking sessions between Korean companies and local enterprises and institutions. Through meetings with local shipyards and shipowners, participating companies were able to identify tangible cooperation opportunities and enhance their potential for securing actual contracts.
On the following day, September 10, Pukyong National University visited Cebu Technological University (CTU) to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for future collaboration and also visited MARINA to discuss practical cooperation plans linked to the activities of its resident companies. The outcomes of this forum are expected to lead to the signing of letters of intent (LOIs) for shipbuilding projects by resident companies at the upcoming KORMARINE 2025, an international maritime and shipbuilding exhibition to be held in October at BEXCO in Busan.
President Bae Sang-Hoon of Pukyong National University stated, “This cooperation forum has served as a practical platform not only for technological exchange but also for resident companies of the Yongdang Campus to create real business opportunities in the global market.
