국립부경대, 교수 창업 전폭 지원 나섰다
- 16일 교원창업 지원행사 ‘PKNU Tech & Biz Up Connect 2025’ 개최

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 9월 16일 오전 동원장보고관 1층 아카데미홀에서 ‘PKNU Tech & Biz Up Connect 2025-기술과 비즈니스의 미래를 잇다’를 개최했다.
이 행사는 국립부경대 교원창업기업을 대상으로 맞춤형 지원제도를 안내하고, 창업 관련 네트워크 구축과 활성화를 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 국립부경대 교원창업기업 대표들과 창업을 준비 중인 예비창업 교수들, 부산기술창업투자원 원장과 관계자, 투자사 대표 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 부산시 창업지원사업 안내, 창업 및 투자 상담, 기업-기관 간 네트워킹 등이 진행됐다.
교원창업기업은 대학 연구실에서 개발한 우수 기술을 기반으로 설립한 벤처기업을 뜻한다. 국립부경대는 대학의 혁신 기술로 지역 산업 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 산학협력단을 주축으로 교원창업을 적극 장려하고 있다.
현재 국립부경대에는 30곳의 교원창업기업이 등록돼 있다. 교수 30명이 창업에 성공해 신약 개발, 광학기기, 의료기기, 복합소재 등 분야의 벤처기업 대표로 활약하고 있고, 4명은 창업을 준비 중이다.
국립부경대는 이번 행사를 비롯해 첨단 기술 사업화를 위한 컨설팅, 지식재산권 출원, 제품화, 마케팅 등 맞춤형 교원창업 지원활동을 지속할 예정이다. <부경투데이>

PKNU Launches All-Out Support for Faculty Entrepreneurship
- ‘PKNU Tech & Biz Up Connect 2025’ held on the 16th
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) held the event ‘PKNU Tech & Biz Up Connect 2025 ？ Connecting the Future of Technology and Business’ on the morning of September 16 at the Academy Hall on the first floor of the Dongwon Jang Bogo Hall.
The event aimed to provide tailored support systems for faculty-led startup companies and to promote startup-related networking and ecosystem activation.
More than 50 participants attended the event, including representatives from faculty-led startups at PKNU, professors preparing to launch startups, the president and officials from the Busan Tech Startup Investment Foundation, and investment firm leaders. The program featured an overview of startup support projects led by the City of Busan, business and investment consultation sessions, and active networking between companies and related organizations.
A faculty startup refers to a venture company established based on advanced technologies developed in university laboratories. Pukyong National University actively promotes faculty entrepreneurship, led by its Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, in order to contribute to regional industrial development through the university’s innovative technologies.
Currently, 30 faculty startup companies are registered at Pukyong National University. Thirty professors have successfully launched ventures and are serving as CEOs in fields such as new drug development, optical equipment, medical devices, and composite materials. Four additional professors are currently preparing for startup launches.
Through this event and beyond, the university will continue to provide tailored support for faculty startups―including consulting for advanced technology commercialization, intellectual property applications, product development, and marketing. <Pukyong Today>
