국립부경대, 대학 연구비 수혜 실적 전국 17, 18위 올라
- <한국대학신문> 보도 … 교수 1인당 연구비는 부산·경남 1위
국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)의 올해 교수 1인당 연구비가 전국 대학 가운데 17위였다. 대학 전체 연구비 수혜 실적은 전국 대학 18위였다.
<한국대학신문>이 9월 16일 게재한 “‘서울대·성균관대·연세대, 연구비 ‘빅3’… 상위 20개교가 절반 ‘독식’” 기사에 따르면, 국립부경대는 630명의 전임교원의 1인당 연구비가 2억 5,005만 원으로 17위에 올랐다. 부산·울산·경남 지역에서는 1위였다.
전국 대학 1~17위 순위는 한국과학기술원(KAIST), 성균관대, 고려대, 서울대, 연세대, 한양대, 전북대, 이화여대, 충남대, 아주대, 경북대, 전남대, 중앙대, 서강대, 인하대, 동국대, 국립부경대 순이었다.
부산·울산·경남 지역에서는 국립부경대, 부산대(21위), 울산대(24위), 경상국립대(29위) 순이었다.
대학 전체 연구비 실적은 1,094억 원으로, 전국에서 18위였다. 전임교원 1인당 연구비 실적이 전체 연구비 실적 대비 높은 것은 규모에 비해 더 큰 성과를 낸다는 의미다. 대학이 우수한 교수진을 보유해 연구 역량과 경쟁력이 높다는 것이다.
연구비는 대학의 연구 역량을 가늠하는 주요 지표로, 우수한 연구를 위한 필요 요건이다. 이를 위해 국립부경대는 라이즈사업과 문샷프로젝트 등 다양한 연구지원 활동을 펼치고 있다. <부경투데이>
PKNU Rises to 17th and 18th Nationally in Research Funding Awards
- Faculty Research Funding Per Capita Ranked No.1 in Busan？Gyeongnam, According to University News Network
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) ranked 17th among universities nationwide in terms of research funding per faculty member this year, and 18th in total research funding awarded.
According to an article published by University News Network on September 16, titled “SNU, Sungkyunkwan University, and Yonsei University Top Research Grants… Top 20 Universities Dominate Half the Total Funding”, PKNU’s 630 full-time faculty members received an average of 250.05 million KRW (approx. USD 184,000) in research funding, placing the university first in the Busan？Ulsan？Gyeongnam region.
Nationally, the top 17 universities in terms of per-faculty research funding were:
KAIST, Sungkyunkwan University, Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Hanyang University, Chonbuk National University, Ewha Womans University, Chungnam National University, Ajou University, Kyungpook National University, Chonnam National University, Chung-Ang University, Sogang University, Inha University, Dongguk University, and Pukyong National University.
In the southeastern region of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, Pukyong National University (PKNU) ranked highest in research funding per faculty member, followed by Pusan National University (21st nationally), University of Ulsan (24th), and Gyeongsang National University (29th).
PKNU’s total research funding amounted to 109.4 billion KRW, placing the university 18th nationwide. The high ranking in per-faculty research funding relative to total funding indicates that PKNU achieves outstanding research performance for its size, underscoring its strong research capabilities and competitiveness based on a highly competent faculty.
