국립부경대, 2026년도 시무식 개최

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 1월 2일 대학본부 2층 대회의실에서 2026년도 시무식을 개최했다.
이날 배상훈 총장과 교무위원들을 비롯해 교수, 직원 등이 참석한 가운데 대학발전공로상, 모범공무원증 표창, 교육부장관상 표창, 2025년 올해의 직원 및 올해의 신인, 4분기 우수직원, 학내 보안업체 직원 표창 등 시상식이 진행됐다.
특히, 기관 표창으로 교육 분야 정부혁신 경진대회 교육부장관 표창, 긴급구조 종합훈련 유공자 부산시장 표창, 종합청렴도 평가 1등급, 공공기관 기록관리 평가 가등급 등 우수 성과를 공유하며 축하했다.
배상훈 총장은 이날 신년사에서 지난 한 해 QS 세계대학평가 순위 상승, 정부 사업 선정, 우수 연구 실적 등 돋보이는 성과를 소개하며 “여러분과 함께 더욱 힘찬 도약으로 우리 역사의 한 페이지에 깊은 발자국을 만들어 왔다”고 강조했다.
이와 함께 “개교 80주년이자 통합 30주년이라는 매우 뜻깊은 역사적 전환점을 맞이한 올해는 그 어느 해보다 우리에게 특별한 한 해가 될 것”이라며, “역사와 성과, 그리고 변화의 흐름을 발판 삼아 새로운 미래를 향한 ‘위대한 여정’과 ‘새로운 도약’에 용기 내어 나서야 한다”고 말했다.
이어 연구중심대학, AX 혁신대학, 글로벌 혁신대학, 행정 혁신 등 비전을 제시하며 “해양수산 분야를 선도하며 미래를 주도하는 강한 대학, 세계로 도약하는 연구·교육 혁신 대학으로 나아가겠다”고 강조했다.
한편, 이날 시무식에 앞서 배상훈 총장과 교무위원들은 백경탑을 참배한 데 이어, 시무식 후에는 참석자들과 악수하며 새해 인사를 나누는 신년하례회를 진행했다. <부경투데이>

Pukyong National University Holds the 2026 New Year Kickoff Ceremony

Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) held the 2026 New Year Kickoff Ceremony on January 2 in the main conference room on the 2nd floor of the university headquarters.
The ceremony was attended by President Bae Sang-Hoon, academic council members, faculty, and administrative staff. Awards presented included University Contribution Award for Institutional Advancement, Exemplary Public Official Certification, Minister of Education Award, 2025 Staff of the Year, 2025 Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Staff for Q4 and Commendation for Campus Security Personnel.
Notably, institutional achievements celebrated at the event included Minister of Education Award at the Government Innovation Competition in Education, Busan Metropolitan City Mayor’s Award for Merit in the Comprehensive Emergency Response Drill, Overall Integrity Assessment Grade 1 (Top Rank) and Public Institution Records Management Evaluation Grade A.
President Bae Sang-Hoon, in his New Year’s address, introduced the university’s key achievements from the past year―including its rise in the QS World University Rankings, major government project selections, and notable research accomplishments―and emphasized, “Together, we have made a bold and energetic leap forward, leaving a lasting footprint on a defining page of our university’s history.”
He also stated, “This year, marking both our 80th founding anniversary and the 30th anniversary of university integration, will stand as one of the most meaningful turning points in our institution’s journey, and it will be an especially remarkable and significant year for all of us.” He continued, “Building on our history, achievements, and momentum of change, we must now boldly step forward with courage as we embark on a great journey and take a new leap toward our future.”
He went on to present the university’s vision for becoming a research-focused institution, an AX (AI Transformation) innovation university, a global innovation-driven university, and a leader in administrative advancement, underscoring, “We will move forward as a strong university that leads the marine and fisheries sector, shapes the future, and advances into a world-reaching hub for research and education innovation.”
Prior to the ceremony, President Bae Sang-Hoon and academic executives paid tribute at the Baekgyeong Tower. After the event, the university held a New Year Courtesy Greeting Session, where attendees exchanged New Year wishes through handshakes with university members. <Pukyong Today>
