국립부경대, ‘교육국제화역량 인증제’ 인증대학 선정
- 향후 4년간 인증 유효 … 2014년 이후 인증 지속

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 교육부가 주관하는 2025년 ‘교육국제화역량 인증제(IEQAS·International Education Quality Assurance System)’ 인증대학으로 선정됐다. 인증 유효기간은 2026년 3월부터 2030년 2월까지다.
교육국제화역량 인증제는 국제화 역량이 높은 대학을 인증함으로써 우수 외국인 학생 유치 확대 및 국내 학생의 국제화 역량을 제고하기 위해 시행되고 있다.
불법 체류율을 기본 지표로, 학위과정과 어학연수 과정으로 나누어 과정별로 대학의 국제화 비전, 외국인 유학생 선발 및 지원·관리 프로그램 운영 현황과 성과 등을 평가해 최종 선정한다.
국립부경대는 지난 2014년 첫 인증 이후 꾸준히 교육국제화 역량 인증을 받고 있으며, 학위과정과 교환학생, 어학연수과정 등에 63개국 1,709명(’25.4. 기준)의 외국인 유학생이 재적하는 교육국제화 대학으로 인정받고 있다.
국립부경대는 이번 인증으로 외국인 유학생 사증(VISA) 발급 심사 기준 완화와 절차 간소화, 정부초청장학생(GKS) 모집 자격 등 우대 혜택을 받는다. <부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Selected as a Certified Institution in the “Education Internationalization Competency Certification System”
- Certification valid for the next four years; continuous certification maintained since 2014
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) has been selected as a certified institution in the 2025 International Education Quality Assurance System (IEQAS) administered by the Ministry of Education. The certification will be valid from March 2026 to February 2030.
The International Education Quality Assurance System is designed to certify universities with strong internationalization capabilities, thereby expanding the recruitment of outstanding international students and enhancing the global competencies of domestic students.
Using the rate of illegal stay among international students as a key indicator, the evaluation is conducted separately for degree programs and Korean language training programs. Universities are assessed on their internationalization vision, as well as the operation and performance of programs for the selection, support, and management of international students, before final certification is granted.
Since receiving its first certification in 2014, Pukyong National University has consistently maintained its IEQAS certification, earning recognition as a university with strong internationalization in education. As of April 2025, the university hosts 1,709 international students from 63 countries enrolled in degree programs, exchange programs, and Korean language training courses.
With this latest certification, the university will receive several benefits, including relaxed screening standards and simplified procedures for student visa issuance, as well as eligibility advantages in recruiting Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) students. <Pukyong Today>
