PKNU started to train many competent experts in the field of the materials of the part of the nuclear power.

PKNU which president is Park Maeng Eon began to educate many capable individuals in the field of the materials of the part the nuclear power. The signboard hanging ceremony of this center was held on the third floor in College of Engineering in Yongdang campus on March 24th by PKNU.
This center is going to train many outstanding professionals in this field by being supported 2.5 billion won by Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning for the next 4 years.
As the part of these businesses, PKNU started to open the education track for training competent individuals in this field. This class is also called N-track. In addition, PKNU will teach many students this track. It is comprised of the several classes including an introduction to nuclear power engineering, a standard of the nuclear power, and an internship which all are required. Also, there are 13 optional courses including a plan and a practical experience of the nuclear power plant. 8 departments in the Engineering including the department of mechanical engineering are taking part in this track.
Especially, all of the curriculums are going to be operated to implement the individualized instruction programs and the feedback system including participating in the nuclear power related corporations which are total 23 in the South East Korea including Taewoong Corporation which representative is Heo Yong Do, the internship which has job security, and the team teaching between corporations and students who are majoring in the nuclear power related departments in the universities.
The manager of this center, Jo Sang Myeong who is a professor of the division of advanced materials science and engineering spoke as follows. “We will produce many excellent professionals in the field of the materials of the part of the nuclear power which is knowledge-intensive industry through this N-track. Also, we are going to try to contribute the industrial development in this field which is the specialized industry in the South East Korea by turning out many outstanding individuals.” <Pukyong Today>
