Pukyong National University, and the College of Engineering are all transferred to Dae Yeon campus. Pukyong National University transfers all buildings of engineering colleges on Yongdang campus to Daeyeon campus. Pukyong National University held the completion ceremony of Engineering Bldg.1 in the afternoon June 27 at the 1st floor of the Daeyeon Campus Engineering Bldg.1, attended by President Kim Young-seup. Pukyong National University has invested KRW 31.1 billion to transfer 11 departments of engineering colleges on Yongdang Campus, and completed the construction of the Engineering bldg.1 from November 2015 and it was completed on that day and the completion ceremony was held. The 1st floor of the Engineering Bldg.1 has 13 stories and 16,574 square meters in floor space. There are facilities such as a cafe on the 1st floor, an administrative room, a common lecture room on the 2nd floor, lecture rooms, offices and seminar rooms on the 3rd to 13th floor. The establishment of Engineering Bldg.1 and the relocation of engineering colleges are based on Pukyong National University's specialization plan to characterize the Daeyeon campus as an education and research center and the Yongdang campus as an industry-university-innovation space. As a result, 9 departments of 20 departments of engineering colleges were relocated in 2014, and the remaining 11 departments moved to Daeyeon campus in July and August this year. The Yongdang campus, where the college of engineering was located, opened up a total of 330,000 square meters of land to enterprises, and it is reborn as a "Dragon Valley" for industry-academia cooperation and entrepreneurship specialized platform. The Yongdang campus has been operating the Linc Plus business, which is a large-scale industry-university cooperation financial support project, the establishment of leading-edge university, URP, Busan R&D special zone, new technology establishment accumulation area and research village. The company has annual sales of 67 billion won. Meanwhile, Pukyong National University is currently constructing Engineering Bldg.2, with a basement for experimentation and practice, and 13 floors and 9,557 square meters, on the site next to Engineering Bldg.1. When Bldg.2 is completed next year, all experimental and practical equipment will be moved here and the transfer to engineering college will be entirely completed. <Pukyong Today> |
