'Attention', The young voluteers for repairing house in the midsummer. Even in this hot summer, the youths who come to repair the old houses of their neighbors attract attention. They are PKNU Social Contribution Volunteer Group of Pukyong National University who serve 'eco-volunteer service for improvement of residential environment' in Nam-gu, Busan for 3days from 16th to 18th. Since 2006, this volunteer group has been volunteering to repair old houses in search of the financially difficult neighbors every summer. As a result, over 520 students have participated in the volunteers, and over 70 houses have been repaired, so far. This year, more than 30 students from the volunteer corps will repair the old house by finding 6 houses in which the disabled, elderly, and elderly couple live in Nam-gu, Busan near the university. The support target was selected by the recommendation of Nam-gu Office, Busan. On the first day which is 16th, they found furniture for the disabled in Munhyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, and cleaned the interior and exterior of the house with the house cleaning, repainting, window repairing and painting. Old electrical and water facilities were also checked and repaired for safety. Pukyong national university sends the staff of relevant departments to carry out technical and safety support activities for repairing electric facilities that require expert knowledge. Small domestic home appliances such as electric rice cookers and fans are also donated to needy people. To support volunteer activities, Nam-gu Office provided student uniforms and cleaning tools, and took charge of garbage collection while repairing the house.
