The performance of 2020 start-up support in Busan reaches '22 billion won in sales'

According to statistics, it was found that the revenue of local companies grew 22 billion won as a result of start-up support projects in Busan over the past year.

Six institutions  in charge of  △prep start-up packages, △initial start-up packages, and △start-up promoting packages in Busan, including Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo), recently held the '2020 Busan Venture Startup Festival' and announced the achievements of start-up support in 2020.

This event started on the 28th of last month with the online website operation, the event was held online and offline on the 30-December, at the Grand Ballroom of Aqua Palace in Gwangan-ri attended by Dongseo university, Dong-A university, Busan National University, the Design Council Busan, the Creative Center for Economy Innovation of Busan, these officials from 6 organizations, including Pukyong National University, and executives and employees of start-up companies.

This event was set up to inform organizations and start-up companies operating start-up support programs to inform their achievements in support for start-ups in 2020, and to share examples of excellent company achievements.

According to the announcements of six organizations that participated in the event, it was found that over the past year, a total of 202 start-up companies in Busan were supported through various start-up support projects, resulting in 22 billion won of sales, 524 of new employees, and 2.2 billion won of investment attraction.

Six institutions, including (Leader Kwon Soon-mok), have been striving to create a start-up ecosystem by commercializing excellent start-up items for local companies through various start-up support projects in the past year, or supporting the growth and stabilization of initial start-up companies.

Kwon Soon-mok, leader of the Employment and Business Development Support Center of Pukyong National University said, "Based on the achievements so far, we will strive to further revitalize the local start-up base in cooperation with startup support institutions." <Pukyong Today>
