32개국 재부 명예영사들이 부경대학교 발전과 국제화를 지원하기 위해 한자리에 모였다.

부경대는 2월 22일 대연캠퍼스 동원장보고관에서 국제화 자문위원 회의를 열고 2011년도 국제화 추진사업 보고 및 부경대 국제화 지원 및 협조 방안 등을 논의했다.

이와 함께 지난해 12월 오스트리아 명예영사로 위촉된 조성제 BN그룹 회장에게 부경대 국제화 자문위원 위촉장을 전달했다.

국제화 자문위원들은 국외 대학과의 학술교류 협정 및 유학생 유치․파견, 국제행사 유치 등 국제교류 활성화를 위한 네트워크 구축을 지원한다.

부산의 명예영사들은 양국 간 우호 및 사회, 경제, 문화 등의 교류 활동을 펴는 민간외교관이다. 현재 부산에는 부산영사단 회장인 강의구 코스모스쉽핑(주) 회장(포르투갈)을 비롯해 32개국의 명예영사들이 각국을 대표해 활약하고 있다.

부경대는 이들과 함께 국제교류 자문을 비롯 학술교류, 해외인턴취업, 국제행사 공동 유치 등의 프로그램을 펼쳐갈 계획이다.

한편 부경대는 지난 2010년 3월 젊은이들에게 국제적 감각과 능력을 고취하고 부산의 국제화를 돕기 위해 31명의 재부 명예영사들을 국제화 자문위원으로 위촉한 바 있다.<부경투데이>

32 honorary consuls who are staying in Busan gathered together to help the development and the internationalization of PKNU. 

The international advisory committee held the conference on February 22nd in Dongwon Jang Bogo Hall in Daeyeon Campus, PKNU. In this meeting, they reported many projects which are going to be progressed in this year to upgrade the level of the internationalization of PKNU. Also, they discussed some relevant facts to support the internationalization of PKNU effectively.

Jo Seong Je, the president of BN group, who was appointed to Austria honorary consul last December, received the letter of appointment which was named the member of the international consultant of PKNU.

The international consultants of PKNU will try to build up a network to make a lot of international exchanges which are included in the mutual interchange of academic studies among the foreign universities, matters relevant to many exchange students, the host of the international events.

In other words, the international consultants can be called nongovernment diplomat because they strive to keep the friendly relations among other countries as well as to help our students to understand other countries rightly in the part of society, economy, culture, and so on. 32 honorary consuls including the president of the consular corps, Kang Ui Ku, who is also the president of Cosmos Shipping Corporation which is one of the shipping companies, play a major role in Busan.

32 honorary consuls and PKNU are going to fulfill many projects such as the international exchanges, the interchange of the academic studies, getting a job in the foreign countries as an apprenticeship employee, and the host of the international occasions.

Meanwhile, PKNU appointed 31 honorary consuls to the members of the international consultants to help many youths to acquire the international insights and the suitable abilities in March last year and to lead the internationalization of Busan. <Pukyong Today>
