이날 출항식 행사에는 박맹언 총장을 비롯, 이춘우 수산과학대학 학장, 승선실습 학생 및 지도교수와 승무원, 가족 등 300여명이 참석했다. 올해로 55회라는 오랜 전통을 기록하고 있는 부경대의 원양승선실습에는 해양생산시스템관리학부, 기계시스템공학과 등 부경대의 어업 및 기관 관련 학과의 3학년 학생 110명과 지도교수 3명, 승무원 32명, 선의 1명 등 모두 146명이 참가한다. 이들은 부경대 실습선 가야호(1,737톤·선장 김민석 교수)를 타고 이날 부산을 출항, 오는 7월 4일 중국 상하이에 입항하며 7월 11일 대만 기륭, 7월 18일 일본 오사카항 등을 경유해 총 2,214마일을 항해한 뒤 7월 27일 부산에 귀항한다. 학생들은 항해를 하면서 그동안 강의실에서 배운 선박운용 및 어업이론을 바다 위에서 실습을 하며 익힌다. 기항지에서는 수산 해양 관련기관을 방문하여 우의와 친선을 도모하고 국제적인 감각과 능력을 함양한다. 박맹언 총장은 격려사를 통해 “지구환경보호를 위한 저탄소 녹색성장의 핵심은 인류의 식량자원을 바다에서 얻는 것.”이라면서, “수산산업을 녹색산업으로 이끌어 제2의 수산 전성기를 연다는 사명감으로 바다를 개척해 달라.”고 학생들에게 당부했다. <부경투데이> PKNU 55th departure ceremony was held on June 23rd at 2 in the quay for school ship of PKNU which is located in Yongho-dong, Nam-gu, Busan. There were about 300 people to participate in this ceremony including the president of PKNU, Park Meang Eon, the dean of the college of fisheries science, Lee Chun Woo, the students, the advisors for them, and their family. 146 people participated in this training voyage including 110 junior year students studying fishing industry and engineering, 3 advisors, 32 crew members. The students usually belong to division of marine production system management, and department of mechanical system engineering. As 55th training voyage, PKNU have long tradition in this. They left Busan by Kaya which is high-tech vessel for the practical training, and the ship is going to come into Shanghai, China on July 4th, Keelung, Taiwan on July 11th, and Osaka, Japan on July 18th. After sailing 2,214 miles by visiting three countries, they are going to return to Busan, Korea on July 27th. The students can learn to operate vessels and apply the theory related to fishing industry while sailing which students have already practiced a lot in the lecture room during the semester. In addition, they can develop their international mindset by visiting other countries, and help to promote the international friendship. The president of PKNU, Park Meang Eon, spoke as follows through the words of encouragement. “The key point of green growth to protect the global environment is to gain many food resources from the sea. Therefore, it is really important to lead the fishing industry to the green growth industry.
