부경대학교(총장 김영섭)가 특허청 주관 제2차 지식재산교육 선도대학 사업의 우선협상대학으로 선정됐다.

지식재산교육 선도대학 사업은 지식재산 대중화를 위해 정부가 대학 차원의 교육기반 구축을 지원하는 사업이다.

부경대는 올해 서울대, 단국대와 함께 지식재산교육 선도대학으로 선정돼 매년 1억 5천만 원씩 5년간 지원받는다.

부경대는 동남권 산업체 수요를 반영한 지식재산 인재양성 전략과 함께 이공계 등 지식재산 창출분야의 박사학위 논문을 특허 출원과 함께 연계한다는 계획을 제출, 높은 평가를 받았다.

이에 따라 부경대는 LINC사업단 등 산학협력단과 특허청의 협력을 추진하고, 지식재산교육에 교수, 학생의 참여를 활성화하는 등 지식재산교육을 확대해 나갈 계획이다. 이를 위해 부경대는 2013학년도 1학기부터 지식재산교육 전담교수를 선발할 계획이다.

지식재산교육 선도대학 운영 총괄 책임자인 윤길수 교수(해양공학과)는 “부경대 공학교육인증 분야를 비롯해 교양과목 등에 지식재산교육 강의 비중을 늘리는 등 지식재산교육을 강화해 부경대를 동남권 지식재산교육 중심대학으로 발전시켜 나가겠다.”고 말했다.<부경투데이>

PKNU (Representative Kim Young-seup) has been selected as a priority university in the 2nd project for leading universities of education for intellectual property by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

The project is for building database at a university level to popularize intellectual property.

PKNU has been selected as a leading university, along with Seoul National University and Dankook University, and will be supported with 1.5 million won annually for 5 years in a row.

PKNU was highly evaluated by representing the plan to train quality students who have intellectual properties reflecting needs for industry in Dongnam distribution and to connect with a patent application and a doctoral dissertation in the field of creating intellectual property such as science and engineering.

PKNU will push ahead cooperation with Korean Intellectual Property Office and the team of Industry - University Collaboration such as LINC project group and will expand the education of intellectual property by revitalizing participation of students and professors about education of intellectual property.

Professor Yoon Gil-soo (Ocean Engineering Department) who is in charge of managing the Leading University of Education for Intellectual Property said that he will improve PKNU as the best university in Dongnam.<Pukyong today>
