주인공은 부경대학교 법학과 3학년 박한나 학생(23세). 그는 최근 학교로부터 받은 장학금 132만원을 자기보다 가정형편이 어려운 학우에게 장학금으로 전해달라며 대학본부 학생복지과에 선뜻 기부했다. 부경대 학생복지과 최순남 팀장은 “학생이 받은 장학금을 다른 학생에게 기부한 사례는 매우 드문 일”이라고 말했다. 박한나 학생이 기부한 132만원은 연구지원장학금으로 받은 것. 이번 해 2학기 동안 교수 연구를 도우며 근로봉사를 하는 대가로 받은 것이다. 왜 기부를 했느냐고 묻자, 그는 “132만원은 처음 제 힘으로 번 큰 돈.”이라면서, “이 소중한 돈을 의미 있게 쓰고 싶었다.”고 말했다. 그는 “처음에는 복지단체 등에 기부할까도 생각했는데, ‘주위에 어렵게 공부하는 친구를 돕는 것도 좋겠다.’는 아버지의 권유로 학교에 기부하게 됐다.”고 밝혔다. 그는 후원기관을 통해 강원도 어느 중학생에게 매월 5만원씩 도움을 주고 있을 정도로 따뜻한 마음을 가진 여대생이었다. 어린이재단 주관 아동권리보호토론대회 같은 행사의 자원봉사도 해서 봉사활동 시간도 90시간에 달했다. 그는 “최근 시작한 헌혈봉사를 꾸준히 하여 후에 헌혈 금장을 받는 것이 목표.”라며 활짝 웃었다. 어떤 학생에게 장학금이 전달되면 좋겠느냐는 질문에 “학비에 보태기 위해 밤늦게까지 아르바이트를 하고 강의시간에 피곤해하는 친구를 본 적이 있다.”면서, “성적은 좀 나빠도 정말 장학금이 필요한 사람, 금전적인 문제로 힘들어하는 학우를 도울 수 있다면 좋겠다.”고 말했다. 앞으로 법조계에 진출하는 것이 꿈이라는 박한나 학생은 “학교 다니는 동안 장학금을 또 받는 기회가 생긴다면 그 역시 기부할 생각.”이라고 밝혔다.<부경투데이> A student donated her fellowship for another student’s scholarship. The money that Park donated was for her fellowship. It was a reward because she had worked for professors doing research for 2 semesters this year. When people asked why she donated, she answered that the money was the first payment she had earned with her own efforts, so she wanted to use this money for something valuable. "At first, I was thinking about giving this money to a welfare organization, but my father suggested donating the money to the poor students around me, so I decided to do that," she said. She also donates 50 thousand won every month to a middle school student in Gangwon through a sponsorship organization, and she has done 90 hours of volunteer job such as the discussion competition for children rights held by a childrens foundation. She said her other goal is to get an (ornament?) of blood donation as she recently started to donate blood. She wanted the money to be delivered to someone in need, especially someone who doesn’t have good credit or who has a serious financial problem. She was concerned about her friend, who is always tired in class because he worked a part-time job at night in order to cover his university expenses.
