이에 따라 부경대는 부산을 비롯 대구·울산·경북·경남 등 동남권역에 소재한 초·중·고등학교의 창의·인성교육의 구심점 역할을 하게 됐다. 한국과학창의재단은 10일 전국 초·중·고등학교를 대상으로 창의‧인성교육의 확산 및 내실화를 추진할 창의·인성교육 거점센터로 동남권에 부경대를 선정한 것을 비롯, 수도권은 동국대, 서남권은 광주교육대를 각각 선정했다. 이에 따라 부경대는 동남권역의 창의·인성 모델학교인 55개 초·중·고등학교 학교 및 180여개 수업연구회와 협력해 창의․인성교육에 필요한 교사의 전문 핵심역량 제고에 나설 계획이다. 이 사업에는 부산광역시교육청 등 동남권 5개 지역 교육청이 협력기관으로 참여한다. 한국과학창의재단은 3억5천만 원을 부경대에 지원한다. 부경대는 2014년 3월까지 동남권 초·중·고등학교 현직 교사를 대상으로 창의․인성교육 역량강화 프로그램 개발 및 정책 연구, △교수학습법 연구개발, △수업모델 확산 및 교수법에 관한 교원연수, △창의․인성교육 확산을 위한 컨설팅 및 수업연구회 워크숍 등을 진행한다. 창의․인성교육 현장 실천도 및 효과분석, 권역별 거점센터 간 네트워크 강화도 추진한다. 동남권 창의·인성교육 거점센터장인 박종운 교수(수해양산업교육과)는 “자라나는 학생들의 꿈과 끼를 살려줄 수 있는 교수학습법을 연구 개발하여 동남권역 내 초·중·고등학생들이 창의적 인재로 성장할 수 있는 기반을 마련할 것.”이라고 밝혔다.<부경투데이> Pukyong National University was selected as a creativity and personality education base center of the southeast area

Pukyong National University (President Kim Yong-Seup) has been selected as the "Creativity and Personality Education Base Centre of the Southeast Area"
As it has been selected, PKNU has started to have a pivotal role in creativity and personality education throughout Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do’s primary, middle, and high schools.
The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity chose Pukyong National University in the southeast area, Dongguk University in the capital area, and Gwangju National University of Education in the southwest area as the base centers to vitalize and reinforce creativity and personality education throughout Korea.
As PKNU has been chosen, it will now cooperate with 55 schools that are the creativity and personality education models and 180 class research societies, and improve teachers’ core competencies for teaching creativity and personality. The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity will donate 350 million won to Pukyong National University.
The university will conduct projects for present instructors: Creating creativity and personality education programs and policy research, inventing educational methods, teacher training about class model and consulting and workshops for creativity and personality diffusion. It will also analyze the effects of the education and enhance networks among the base centers.
