부경대학교 김민주 학생(국제통상학부 3학년)이 관세사 최연소 합격의 영예를 안았다.
김민주 학생은 25일 관세청이 발표한 2013년 제30회 관세사 국가자격시험 최종 합격자 77명 가운데 최연소(만22세)로 합격했다.
관세청에 따르면 지난 6월 22일 열린 관세사 2차 시험에는 678명이 응시해 8.8대1의 경쟁률을 보였다.
그는 “관세사 시험에 합격한 것도 기쁘고, 최연소 합격이라는 사실이 믿기지 않는다.”면서, “3년 동안 요령 부리지 않고 하루에 12시간씩 꾸준히 공부해온 것이 주효했던 것 같다.”고 소감을 밝혔다.
관세사는 수출입 업무에서 통관절차를 담당하고 화주나 관세 납세의무자를 대리해 관세법상의 행정상 쟁송을 수행하는 전문인이다.
그는 “세계적으로 자유무역협정이 확대되는 시기에 우리나라 무역 발전에 기여할 수 있는 관세사가 되고 싶다.”고 포부를 밝혔다.
부경대는 이번 관세사 시험에서 김 씨와 함께 국제통상학부 최상혁(2013년 졸업), 이창헌(4학년), 박성훈(4학년), 박소연(4학년) 등 5명의 합격자를 배출했다.
한편 부경대는 고시반 ‘해미르’를 운영하며 지난 2010년 관세사시험 수석합격자를 배출하고, 2007년 관세사 합격자 전국 대학 2위를 기록하는 등 우수한 성과를 거두고 있다.<부경투데이>

Min-Ju Kim who is a junior student of the division of international commerce is the youngest person to pass the custom agent exam.
She got noticed her news from announce of Korea Custom Service about the 30th custom agent test on 25th September as the youngest applicant among seventy seven successful applicants.
The Korea Custom Service announced that applicants for the second custom service test on 22nd June totaled 678 people and the competition rate was 8.8 to 1.
She said that she can’t believe that she not only passed the exam, but that she was the youngest person among the applicants. She added that the main reason she could pass it was due to studying 12 hours a day for 3 years.
The custom agents are the experts who are in charge of clearance of exportation and importation and they handle disputes which occur in the procedure of customs administration instead of taxpayer of customs.
"I want to be a custom agent who can contribute to Korea’s trade development as FTA is expanding worldwide," the youngest successful custom agent exam applicant said.
Pukyong National University has produced 5 successful applicants of the exam: Sang-Hyuk Choi (graduated 2013), Chang-Hun Lee (Senior), Sung-Hoon Park (Senior), So-Yeon Park (Senior), and Min-Ju Kim (Junior).
Meanwhile, Pykyong National University opened ’Haemir’ for examinations, and it has been producing good performances like the chief successful applicant in 2010 and the second highest number of successful applicants for the custom agent exam in 2007. <Pukyong Today>
