‘eco-versity’란 Ecology(생태)와 University(대학)의 합성어로 환경사랑, 생명사랑, 이웃사랑, 평화사랑 등 네 가지 에코 프로그램을 통해 삶의 터전을 아름답게 가꾸어가기 위한 부경대의 지역사회 봉사실천 프로그램이다. 부경대는 1일부터 대학 구성원은 물론 일반시민들이 날마다 에코사랑 실천항목에 서약하고 스스로 실천할 수 있는 에코버시티 홈페이지를 구축, 본격 운영에 들어갔다. 이 홈페이지는 부경대의 교육과 연구, 봉사 영역에서 진행되는 다양한 에코 이슈들을 소개해 환경과 생명, 이웃과 평화에 대한 사랑을 지키고 실천하는 에코 정신을 지역 사회로 확산시키는 것이 목적이다. 이 홈페이지의 특징은 ‘나의 에코나무 키우기’, ‘나의 에코 Tip’ 등 대학 구성원과 시민들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 에코 사랑 실천 프로그램을 운영한다는 점이다. ‘나의 에코나무 키우기’는 에코 사랑을 자발적으로 맹세하고 실천하면서 홈페이지 안에서 푸른 나무를 키우는 마일리지 적립 프로그램이다. 여기에는 환경사랑, 생명사랑, 이웃사랑, 평화사랑 등 네 가지 분야별로 ‘나는 사용하지 않는 플러그를 빼겠습니다.’ ‘다문화가정과 외국인을 배려하고 사랑하겠습니다.’ 같은 32개의 에코사랑 실천서약이 있다. 방문자는 그날 자신이 실천하고 싶은 항목을 선택해 서약하고 이에 해당하는 씨앗을 클릭하면 자신의 에코나무는 △새싹, △어린나무, △큰 나무, △꽃 핀 나무, △열매 가득한 나무 순서로 자란다. ‘나의 에코 Tip’에서는 에코 사랑을 실천하는 자신의 모습을 찍은 사진을 올리거나 나만의 에코 사랑 실천방법을 올려 서로 정보를 공유할 수 있도록 했다. 부경대는 에코나무 32그루를 모두 키운 사람에게 인증서를 수여하고, 홈페이지 활동이 우수한 사람을 달마다 선발해 문화상품권, 에코손수건 등 경품을 증정, 교내는 물론 지역사회로 에코 정신을 확산시킬 계획이다.<부경투데이> Pukyong National University has been to the fore on opening ‘Eco-versity’ homepage (http://eco.pknu.ac.kr), a citizen program to practice environment protection, life respect, neighbor love, and peace protection. ‘Eco-versity’ is a compound of ‘Ecology’ and ‘University’ and it is a community volunteering program designed by Pukyong National University, aiming to live a beautiful life through 4 eco programs, love for environment, life, neighbors, and peace. Pukyong National University has recently built and run the ‘Eco-versity’ homepage so that citizens as well as the university members vow to practice provisions of eco love and put the provisions into action everyday since October 1st. The primary purpose of this homepage is to introduce diverse eco-related issues of the volunteering area and spread the ‘eco spirit’ to the community that protects and practices love for the environment, life, neighbors, and peace. One of the outstanding features of this homepage is that it runs actual eco love practice programs that citizens and university members can participate in together such as ‘Growing My Own Eco Tree,’ and ‘My Eco Tip.’ ‘Growing My Own Eco Tree’ is a milage saving program that participants grow their trees in the homepage, swearing for and practicing eco love spontaneously. The total 32 practice provisions of eco love are included such as ‘I will plug out unused appliances,’ and ‘I will give love and consideration for foreigners and multi cultural families’ according to the 4 sections – love for environment, life, neighbors, and peace. After homepage visitors choose the items that they want to practice on that day, take an oath, and click on the seeds applying to the items, their eco trees grow in the order of △ bud, △ young trees, △ large trees, △ trees with flowers, △ trees with fruits. Participants can post a photo of themselves practice eco love and also they can share information with each other by posting their ways of practice in the ‘My Eco Tip’ program. Pukyong National University is planning to spread ‘eco spirit’ in the community by awarding the certificate to the people who bring up all of the 32 eco trees, and picking participants whose activities are outstanding at the homepage and giving prize gifts such as culture gift certificates and eco-handkerchief every month.<Pukyong today> |
