부경대학교가 2단계 자원개발 특성화대학사업에 선정됐다. 이 사업에는 부경대 에너지자원공학과가 참여한다.
자원개발 특성화대학사업은 자원분야 전문인력을 양성하기 위해 지난 2009년부터 산업통상자원부에서 시행하고 있는 사업이다. 부경대는 지난해까지 5년간 시행된 1단계 사업에도 선정돼 현장실습, 교수인력 확충, 교육인프라 구축 등에 필요한 경비를 지원받았다.
이번 2단계 사업에서 부경대는 산학협력 연구단 컨소시엄 2개 부문에서 참여대학으로 선정되고 교육 협력그룹 참여대학으로도 선정됐다. 부경대는 오는 2019년 2월까지 21억8천4백만 원 상당을 지원받아 자원개발 분야 우수 전문인력 양성에 나선다.
석유‧가스 물리탐사 산학협력 연구단에서 부경대(책임교수 하완수)는 서울대를 주관대학으로 한국해양대, 경북대, 한국석유공사와 함께 참여하여 산학협력연구단을 구성, 중자력 탄성파 물리 검층 등에 대한 연구를 진행한다.
광물자원 탐사‧개발 산학협력 연구단에서 부경대(책임교수 최요순)는 강원대를 주관대학으로 서울대, 인하대, 고려대, 한국광물자원공사와 함께 복합 탐사자료 융합 및 ICT 기반 채광량 평가, 저품위광 생산성 향상 및 실시간 광산운영 통합기술 등에 연구를 수행한다.
이와 함께 부경대는 한국해양대, 동아대와 교육 협력그룹을 구성, 다양한 산학 협력프로그램을 운영한다. 협력그룹 대학 간 융합프로그램, 글로벌 현장 전문가 초청강의, 현장 전문가 진로상담 멘토링, 국내 현장 실습 지원, 방학 중 현장 실무 단기 연수, 학부생 및 대학원생의 연구비와 장학금 지원 등의 협력프로그램이 추진된다.
부경대는 에너지자원공학과 학부생 및 대학원생을 대상으로 우수학생 해외진출 프로그램도 운영한다. 해외진출 기업연계 특성화 교육을 비롯 교환학생‧ 공동학위제 프로그램, 해외자원개발 현장실습 등의 프로그램을 운영한다.<부경투데이>
PKNU, selected as a specialization university in the 2nd stage resources development

Pukyong National University has been selected as a 2-stage resources development specialization university project. Department of Energy Resources Engineering of PKNU is to be engaged in this project.
Resources development specialization university project has been run since last 2009 by Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to foster professional manpower in resources field. Pukyong National University was chosen in the first stage project which had been run for 5 years until last year and provided with support money for field placement, expansion of professor manpower, construction of educational infra.
Pukyong National University has been selected as a participating university in 2 sectors of industry-academy cooperation foundation consortium as well as another participating university of education cooperation group in this second project. PKNU sets out professional manpower training in the field of resources development with support funds of 2billion and 184million won until 2019.
With Seoul National University as a supervising university, Pukyong national University (professor in charge - Ha Wan Soo) organizes an industry-academy cooperation foundation for physical exploration of oil and gas for research on geophysical logging of gravity-magnetic elastic wave in concurrence with Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Kyungpook National University, and Korea National Oil Corporation.
And also Pukyong national University (professor in charge – Choi Yo Soon) forms an industry-academy cooperation foundation for mineral resource exploration and development and conducts a research on convergence of complex exploration data, evaluation on lighting amount based on ICT, productivity improvement of low grade mineral, and real time mine managing integration technic with Inha University, Korea University, and Korea Resources Corporation including Kangwon University as a supervising university.
In addition to above researches, Pukyong National University organizes an education cooperation group with Donga University and runs various industry-academy cooperation programs. A convergence program between cooperating universities, guest lectures of global field experts, mentoring for future career by field experts, domestic placement supports, short-term training in field businesses during vacation, and research funds and scholarship support for undergraduate and graduate students are all included in the programs.
Pukyong National University runs an overseas expansion program for excellent undergraduates and graduates in the department of Energy and Resources Engineering.
