부경대학교가 유엔 식량농업기구(FAO) 산하 국제기구 세계수산대학 설립을 위한 시범사업 프로그램 중 두 번째 사업 ‘지도자양성과정’ 운영에 나선다. 부경대 세계수산대학원(원장 이상고)은 4월 27일 오전 학술정보관 2층 영상세미나실에서 김영섭 총장과 양동엽 해양수산부 국제원양정책관, 송삼종 부산광역시 해양수산국장 등이 참석한 가운데 세계수산대학원 시범사업 ‘지도자양성과정’ 입소식을 열었다. 해수부 주관, 부산시가 지원하는 이 과정은 부경대가 지난해부터 운영하고 있는 세계수산대학원 시범사업 ‘석사과정’ 프로그램에 이은 세계수산대학 설립을 위한 두 번째 시범사업 프로그램이다. 개도국의 수산업 발전을 위해 체계적 교육 프로그램을 제공, 수산업 현장에서 활약할 세계 수산 분야의 지도자를 양성하는 것이 이 과정의 목표다. 이번 과정 참가자는 모두 15명. 베네수엘라, 수단, 스리랑카, 시에라리온, 미얀마, 태국, 오만 등 7개국 정부가 추천한 수산분야 공직자, 연구자, 기술자들이다. 이들은 이날 입소식을 시작으로 내년 2월까지 43주간 수산가공과 어업, 양식, 수산가공, 수산자원관리, 수산경제경영 등 5개 분야에 걸쳐 배우며 자국의 수산개발 분야 지도자 역량을 키우게 된다. 이를 위해 각 분야 전문 교수진이 제공하는 이론 강의는 물론, 부산‧경남‧전남지역 어장, 양식장, 가공공장 등을 찾는 산업현장학습, 국립수산과학원 등 수산 관련 기관을 찾아가는 교육연구현장학습 등 전문 교육과정이 제공된다. 이상고 세계수산대학원장은 “세계수산대학 정식 설립을 위해 이미 진행 중인 석사과정과 함께 지도자 양성과정을 성공적으로 추진하여 시범사업의 목적을 달성할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다. 이번 과정에 참여한 베네수엘라 수산양식부 주무관 카스트로 페레즈 텔리마이 나일리우 씨(33‧여)는 “세계적으로 앞선 한국의 수산기술을 전문적으로 배워 우리나라 수산 분야를 이끌며 경제와 산업 발전에 보탬이 되고 싶다.”고 말했다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University will run its second project 'Leader Training Course' among demonstration programs for establishing the International Organization for World Fisheries University under the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Pukyong National University Fisheries Graduate School (Director Lee Sang-go) participated in Leader training course 'opening ceremony which was held in the seminar room on the 2nd floor of the Academic Information Center on April 27, attended by PKNU President Kim Young-seup, Yang Dong-yeop, the International Welfare Policy Officer of Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and Song Sam-jong, the director of the Marine Fisheries Bureau of Busan. This program, sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Busan is the second demon project for the establishment of the World Fisheries University after the master's Program, which is operated by Pukyong National University from last year. The goal of this course is to provide systematic education programs for the development of fisheries in developing countries and to train leaders in the global fisheries field to play an active role in the fisheries field. The participants of the course are all 15, including public officials, researchers, and engineers in the fisheries sector recommended by seven governments including Venezuela, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Myanmar, Thailand and Oman. They will learn about the five areas of fisheries processing, fisheries, aquaculture, fishery processing, fisheries resource management, fisheries management and economic management for 43 weeks until the next February. For this, they will be provided lectures provided by professional faculty members in each field, as well as industrial field learning to find fishing grounds, farms, processing plants, etc. in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Jeonnam, and education and research field trips to fisheries related organizations such as the National Fisheries Research Institute Training courses.
