부경대학교가 부산시의 2019년 비즈니스 서비스산업 특화구역 지원사업 수행기관으로 선정됐다고 3월 7일 밝혔다. 이 사업은 부산시가 특정 업종 집적 구역의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 지난 2017년부터 추진하고 있는 지원사업이다. 부경대는 부산 남구와 함께 이번 사업공모에 참여, 엔지니어링 분야 60여개 회사가 집적한 부산 남구 용당동과 대연동을 대상으로 ‘드래곤밸리 엔지니어링산업 특화구역’ 사업계획서를 제출해 선정됐다. 이에 따라 부경대는 산학협력단(단장 서용철)을 중심으로 3월부터 사업비 1억 7천만 원을 지원받아 이 일대를 동남권 엔지니어링 중심지로 육성하고, 국내외 조선‧해양플랜트 관련 기반을 조성할 계획이다. 세부 사업으로 특화구역을 브랜드화하기 위해 이 지역 집적 기업 간 엔지니어링 특화 협의회를 운영하고, 기술과 정보를 공유하기 위한 네트워크를 구축해 운영한다. 이와 함께 인력 확보를 위한 특화구역 기업들의 공동채용박람회 개최 지원을 비롯, 국내외 조선해양플랜트 전시회 및 세미나 참가 지원, 조선해양플랜트 프로젝트 수주를 위한 행정 지원 및 수주 추진단 운영, 생산성 향상을 위한 교육프로그램 지원에 나선다. 부경대 산학협력단은 이번 사업의 효과적인 수행을 위해 조선해양플랜트엔지니어링협동조합과 긴밀하게 협력하기로 했다. 부경대 서용철 산학협력단장은 “이번 사업을 통해 특화구역의 차별화된 경쟁력을 키워 국내외 신규 프로젝트 수주를 활성화하고, 사업다각화로 조선엔지니어링 업체들이 재도약할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 말했다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University has been selected as an agency to support Busan’s 2019 business service industry specialization zone. This project is a support project that Busan City has been promoting since 2017 in order to strengthen competitiveness of specific industrial area. Pukyong National University participated in the contest with Nam-gu, Busan and has been selected by submitting the business plan of "Dragon Valley Engineering Industry Special Zone" to Yongdang-dong and Dayeon-dong, in Nam-gu, Busan where 60 engineering companies have converged. Accordingly, Pukyong Natioanal University will provide 170 million KRW of project funding starting from March, centering on the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation (Head Seo Yong-cheol), to develope this area as an engineering center for the southeast region and to establish a foundation for domestic and overseas shipbuilding and offshore plants. In order to brand specialized zones into detailed projects, Pukyong National University operate a specialization council for engineering between the regionally converged companies and build and operate a network to share technology and information. In addition to this, the university will support the joint recruitment fair for the securing of manpower, support for participating in exhibitions and seminars for shipbuilding and offshore plants for domestic and abroad, administrative support for ordering shipbuilding offshore plant projects and support the training program for productivity improvement. Pukyong National University’s Industry-University Cooperation Foundation has decided to cooperate closely with Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Association (KOSHIPA) for effective implementation of this project.
