부경대학교(총장 김영섭)가 교육부와 한국연구재단 주관 국가재정 지원사업인 ‘사회맞춤형 산학협력 선도대학 육성사업(링크플러스·LINC+)’과 ‘4차 산업혁명 혁신선도대학’ 2단계 사업에 4월 10일 최종 선정됐다. 이에 따라 부경대는 오는 2021년까지 3년간 연 55억 원씩 모두 165억 원의 정부 지원금을 이들 2개 사업에 집중 투입, 우수인재 양성과 산학협력 등 대학 경쟁력 제고에 박차를 가할 예정이다. ‘링크플러스사업’은 대학의 산학협력 역량을 강화해 그 힘으로 지역발전을 견인하고 기업 맞춤형 인재를 양성하기 위한 국가재정 지원사업이다. 2017년 ‘링크플러스사업’의 산학협력 고도화형 부문에 선정된 부경대는 이번 2단계 사업 진입 성공으로 ‘사회 친화형 산학협력 창의인재 양성을 통한 지속가능한 지역산업 생태계조성’에 나설 계획이다. ‘4차 산업혁명 혁신선도대학사업’은 4차 산업혁명 유망분야 인재 양성을 위해 동남권에서 유일하게 부경대에서만 운영하는 사업이다. 부경대는 스마트 헬스케어라는 신산업 개척에 나서 초고령화 시대 융합기술 개발 능력을 갖춘 의공학IT 인재 양성한다. 융합-연계 교육과정 제공, 캠퍼스 내 on-site 실무형 Maker 인프라 조성 등을 통해 스마트 헬스케어분야의 교육과 연구, 산학협력에 전력을 다할 계획이다.
부경대 안예찬 4차 산업혁명 혁신선도대학 사업단장은 “혁신 의공학 교육을 통하여 4차 산업혁명 첨단의료산업을 개척할 미래 인재양성에 주력하겠다.”면서, “특히 학생이 교육의 주체가 되는 혁신적 대학교육을 내재화하고 이를 대학 전체에 확산할 수 있도록 해 주는 제도적 지원장치 마련에 더욱 힘쓰겠다.”고 말했다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) was finally selected on April 10 for the 2nd phase of the Project for 4th Industrial Revolution Innovative University (Linc Plus•LINC+) and the '4th Industrial Revolution Innovative University' sponsored by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF). The '4th Industrial Revolution Innovative University Project' is the only business operated by Pukyong National University in the southeastern area to cultivate talented people in the promising fields of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Pukyong National University will cultivate a new industrial field called Smart healthcare and nurture IT engineers who have ability to develop convergence technologies in the super-aged society. The university plans to do its best to educate, research, industry-academia cooperation in the field of smart health care by providing convergence-linked curriculum and creating an on-site working-type maker infrastructure on campus. Seo Yong-cheol, the director of Industry-Academy Cooperation Foundation at Pukyong National University, said, "Through the second phase of the project, we will do our best to strengthen the structure and constitution of the university in cooperation with industry and academia to realize the goal of nurturing talented people and leading regional economic development."
