부경대학교(총장 김영섭)는 9월 10일 오후 대연캠퍼스 대운동장 옆 부지와 공학2관에서 복합교육센터 기공식과 공학2관 준공식을 잇달아 개최했다. 부경대가 이날 신축공사 기공식을 열고 본격 건립에 나선 복합교육센터는 174억 원을 투입, 대연캠퍼스 대운동장 옆 부지에 지하 1층 지상 11층 연면적 8869 ㎡ 규모로 들어선다. 부경대는 수해양 분야 4차 산업 교육기반을 조성을 비롯, 전임교원과 외국인 유학생의 지속적인 증가 등 대내‧외 여건 변화에 따른 공간 확보를 위해 오는 2020년 12월 준공을 목표로 복합교육센터를 짓는다. 이 건물이 준공되면 학생복지시설을 비롯해 학과 교수연구실, 강의실, 실험실 등이 자리 잡는다. 11층에는 학습, 휴게 등 복합문화공간으로 185 ㎡ 규모의 스카이라운지도 조성될 예정이다. 이와 함께 이날 준공식을 가진 공학2관은 지난 2016년 공사를 시작, 193억 원을 투입해 지하1층 지상 13층 연면적 9556 ㎡ 규모로 완공돼 대연캠퍼스 공학1관 옆에 들어섰다. 공학2관에는 지난해 용당캠퍼스에서 공학1관으로 전부 이전한 11개 공과대학 학과들의 실험실과 실습실이 집중 배치되며, 공학1관과 각 층별 연결통로를 설치해 두 건물 간 이동과 활용성을 극대화한 점이 특징이다. 이 사업들은 부경대가 대연캠퍼스를 교육과 연구 중심, 용당캠퍼스를 산학연 혁신 공간으로 특성화하기 위한 캠퍼스 특성화 계획에 따른 것이다. 이 계획에 따라 부경대는 용당캠퍼스를 기업에 통째로 개방해 현재 340여 개 기업과 1700여 명의 직원들이 상주하는 산학협력‧창업 중심지 ‘드래곤밸리’로 조성해 운영하고 있다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Complex Education Center and the completion of the Engineering 2nd Building on the afternoon of September 10 at Daeyeon Campus Grand Stadium. Pukyong National University will build a multi-education center aiming to be completed in December 2020 to secure space due to changes in internal and external conditions, including the establishment of the fourth industrial education base in the water and marine sector, and the continuous increase of full-time faculty members and international students. When the building is completed, there will be student welfare facilities, departmental faculty research labs, lecture rooms, and laboratories. On the 11th floor, a 185㎡ sky lounge will be established as a multicultural space for learning and resting. In addition, the Engineering 2 building, which was completed on this day, started construction in 2016, and invested 19.3 billion won to complete the ground floor and ground level of 9556 ㎡ and entered next to Daeyeon Campus Engineering 1 building. The Engineering Hall 2 is equipped with laboratories and test laboratories of 11 departments of engineering, which all moved from Yongdang Campus to Engineering Hall 1 last year. It is also characterized by maximizing the mobility and utilization between the two buildings by installing connecting passages for the first building and each floor. These projects are in accordance with the campus specialization plan to characterize Pukyong National University as a center for education and research, and Yongdang Campus as an industry-university innovation space. In accordance with this plan, Pukyong National University has opened the Yongdang Campus to enterprises, and is now operating as a “Dragon Valley”, an industrial-academic cooperation and start-up center where more than 340 companies and 1,700 employees reside. <Pukyong Today> |
