부경대학교(총장 김영섭)가 2019년 하반기 대학기관평가인증을 획득했다. 부경대학교는 최근 실시된 한국대학교육협의회 부설 한국대학평가원의 2019년 하반기 대학기관평가인증 평가 결과, 5개의 평가영역이 모두 인증기준을 충족하여 인증서를 획득했다. 대학기관평가인증은 대학의 운영 전반에 대한 면밀한 검증을 통하여 대학 교육의 질을 보장하고 사회적 공신력을 부여하는 제도다. 평가 결과는 정부의 각종 행‧재정 지원 사업에 활용된다. 대학기관평가인증을 받으려면 ▷전임교원 확보율, ▷교사(校舍) 확보율, ▷정원 내 신입생 충원율, ▷정원 내 재학생 충원율, ▷교육비 환원율, ▷장학금 비율 등 6개 필수평가준거와 ▷대학이념 및 경영, ▷교육, ▷교직원, ▷교육시설 및 학생지원, ▷대학성과 및 사회적 책무 등 5개 평가영역의 30개 평가준거를 충족해야 한다. 이번 평가인증에서 부경대는 명료한 대학이념과 효율적 대학 경영, 인재 양성을 위한 충실한 교육과정 운영 및 교수·학습, 학생지원, 교육시설 및 교육성과와 봉사 사회적 책무까지 모든 평가기준을 충족했다. 이에 따라 부경대는 1주기(2013년)에 받은 인증 자격을 2023년까지 유지하게 된다. 김영섭 총장은 “이번 평가인증은 우리 대학의 위상을 되새기며 내일을 설계할 수 있는 시간이 됐다.”면서, “앞으로 교육의 질을 높이는 노력을 지속적으로 펼쳐 우수인재양성과 학문의 발전, 그리고 지역사회 발전에 이바지하는 대학이 되도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 밝혔다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) obtained evaluation for university accreditation in the second half of 2019. Pukyong National University has obtained the certificate by all five evaluation areas meeting the certification criteria, as a result of the recent evaluation for university accreditation in the second half of 2019 by the Korean University Accreditation Institute, which is affiliated with the Korean Council for University Education. The evaluation for university accreditation is a system that guarantees the quality of university education and grants social credibility through a thorough verification of the overall operation of the university. The evaluation results are used for various governmental and financial support projects. In order to receive evaluation for university accreditation, 6 essential evaluation criteria including ▷ full-time faculty acquisition rate, ▷ teacher acquisition rate, ▷ capacity for new students, ▷ capacity for students enrollment, ▷ reduction of education expenses, ▷ scholarship rate, ▷ university philosophy and management, 30 evaluation criteria in 5 evaluation areas including education, staff, educational facilities and student support, university performance and social responsibility should be met. In this evaluation for university accreditation, Pukyong National University met all evaluation criteria including clear university philosophy, efficient university management, and faithful curriculum management for talent development, teaching and learning, student support, educational facilities and educational achievements, and volunteer social responsibility. Accordingly, Pukyong National University will maintain the evaluation for university accreditation received in 1 cycle (2013) until 2023.
