부경대학교가 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증 확산으로 올해 입학식을 전면 취소하기로 결정했다. 부경대학교는 김영섭 총장 주재로 열린 신종 코로나바이러스 예방 비상대책회의를 통해 이달 28일 열릴 계획이던 2020학년도 신입생 입학식을 취소하기로 결정했다고 3일 밝혔다. 부경대는 또 이달 21일로 예정된 학위수여식 행사 규모를 대폭 축소하여 학사‧석사 학위수여식은 취소하고, 박사 학위수여식은 참석을 희망한 박사학위 졸업생에게만 학위기를 수여하는 방식으로 진행하기로 했다. 이와 함께 이달 중순 열릴 예정이던 신입생 예비대학(새내기 새로 배움터)도 무기한 연기하기로 했으며, 신학기에 진행될 각종 행사들에 대해서도 연기 및 자제해 줄 것을 요청했다. 부경대 관계자는 “이번 결정은 신종 코로나바이러스 감염자가 늘어나는 등 국내에서도 감염증 사태가 심각해짐에 따라 예기치 못한 질병의 확산을 사전에 예방하기 위해 내린 조치.”라고 밝혔다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University decided to cancel the entrance ceremony this year because of the spread of new coronavirus infection. In addition, the university decided to postpone indefinitely the freshman preparatory university program, which was scheduled to be held in the middle of this month and asked to postpone and refrain from various events in the new school year.
